what issue was the kill switch picture from, if you don't mind me asking? (if you got the questions twice sorry wifi glitched and I'm unsure if the first sent or not
Not to worry! It's from MTMTE 21, in which First Aid blows Pharma's head off, Tailgate defeats Tyrest by poking him in the forehead, and Cyclonus defeats Star Saber by stabbing him in the eye with his horn, only to save Tailgate from cybercrosis by stabbing him through the spark with his sword. All of this. In one issue. Sometimes I forget how truly operatic this comic could be.
It also features Ratchet looking incredibly studly for someone who just survived a beheading:
what kinda of absolutely pathetic shipper am I that I didn’t notice this scene until my third read through. i am ashamed.
is there a thing that’s an aesthetic opposite of a deus-ex-machina as in something that comes out of nowhere but actively takes away from the action because teleporting in the fuckin middle of a battle is that thing
Cyclonus and Ultra Magnus in More Than Meets the Eye #21 and Lost Light #13. Saving Tailgate and losing Tailgate.
Theory time : Pharma is alive?
(Not sure if this spoils anything but I am tagging it anyways to be safe. Again, this is just a theory of mine I could be wrong)
The last time we see Pharma is in issue 21 after he gets shot in the head:
Here we see his body laying on the ground with no damage to his spark:
We know from previous issues that a Cybertronian can survive without his head, in issue MTMTE #6 Rung loses his head to friendly fire.
Here he is in issue #7, where the medics explain he is going to make it. This is due to his brain module being intact.
Back to issue 21 if you zoom in when Pharma gets shot I notice what I think is his intact brain module:
Another clue for is this - I am pretty sure they are teasing us with things that were never explained so that we will read the Lost Light when it comes out. I am fairly certain that none of these things were explained, unless I missed something. (Please let me know!)
Now I am probably going out on a limb here, but I kind of think that this scene may have also been a clue to Pharma possibly coming back as a headmaster. Pharma’s body has a brain module and no head so it could be possible.
notable stuff here:
- Swerve actually doing something that matters, and proving that he’s more than just a wisecracking asshole.
- Ratchet’s genuine contrition at not being able to help Tailgate. He’s a grumpy bastard, but he cares about his crew, and his patients.
- Whirl being present at all. He has no reason to want to help Tailgate, or to support Cyclonus, and yet he does. I’m telling you, there’s a fully-functioning conscience buried in there somewhere.
- Cyclonus, that is one long stride you’ve got there.
Tailgate’s done a lot of stupid stuff and told some ridiculous lies, but this makes it a little easier to understand why he might have done all of that - he’d only been alive and part of the world for two weeks before spending millions of years trapped underground.
