“Santa Fe.” Eliot looks up to the stars. They say you can see a million of them out West, and the sky is blue and green and violet like it’s been painted with a brush.

Disney stories are great; Stucky Disney stories are even better. Below are my Top 5 Favorites:
“The One Where Bucky is a Street Rat and Steve is the Prince” (E, 45) by cole90210
Once upon a time there was a poor, adventurous young man that helps a beautiful stranger. There’s hidden identities, magical artifacts and more than three wishes, but they don’t need any of that to fall in love.
+ Fantasy AU. Steve is Jasmine, Bucky is Aladdin, Sam is a Good Bro, and everyone gets to make wishes!
-☆-
“The Lord of Greystroke” (E, 31k) by humapuma
Bucky Barnes survived the the American Civil War but never left the battlefield behind. He joined Hydra, a mercenary group, and for the last few years, he's done a lot of terrible things. On a mission, he gets lost in the Wakandan jungle and comes across a man he believes to be the victim of some terrible crime.
There were scars all over this man’s body, some of which seemed like leopard scratches and even what may have been old bullet wounds. His hair was wild and filthy, cascading over his shoulders. Really, the man was quite filthy in general. Some spots, though, Bucky was sure were massive bruises instead of dirt, and they reminded Bucky of the photographs of gorilla attack survivors.
Gorilla attacks. Leopard scratches. Bullet wounds.
“Oh God,” Bucky gasped. “Y-you’re him... You’re the Ape-Man! They... they were right..!”
+ Historical AU. Steve is Tarzan and Bucky is hired to put him down
-☆-
“Magic follows courage” (E, 27k) by mtothedestiel
A Cinderella AU. Steve is as kind and brave as his body is frail and sickly, which is to say very. Meanwhile, Prince Bucky must marry for the good of his kingdom, but he knows he will never find love with a princess. Can courage, and a little magic, help Steve attend a ball, and Prince Bucky find his True Love?
+ Historical AU. Prince Bucky likes a painting and a mysterious stranger with red gloves
-☆-
“Beast” (E, 63k) by ladyshadowdrake
A kingdom is in uproar searching for the missing Prince Thor and his team. Heading the search, Captain Steve Rogers is more invested in finding his best friend, but when he stumbles onto an abandoned castle in a snowy meadow, he finds a lot more than he bargained for.
+ Fantasy AU. Bucky’s the beast and Steve won’t leave Bucky now that he’s found him
-☆-
“The Apple Kerfuffle” (T, 45k) by keire_ke
Steve always takes a bite of Bucky's apples. It's a source of much puzzlement and many questions among the denizens of the Avenger's Tower, but of course asking why that is the case would violate Sam Wilson's patented manual, whose main points were detailed in the infamous Super Soldier Therapy for Dummies PowerPoint presentation. When it becomes apparent the habit dates back to the times only Steve's memory can recall with any measure of reliability, the race to cajole the truth out is on.
Whether the story will be believed, is another matter entirely.
+WW2 and Post WS. Bucky gets a poisoned Hydra apple, falls asleep, put in a glass coffin, and rescued by Steve
-☆-
-☆- And a Disney World freebie! -☆-
“Fantasmic!” (T, 11k) by mambo
It's Steve's second summer working at Disney World when he meets Prince Charming (aka: Bucky Barnes, college kid from Brooklyn whose ass looks absolutely devastating in his Prince Charming slacks) and maybe starts to feel a little Disney magic in his heart.
+ Modern AU. This story is like a love letter to the magic of Disney World
The wind picks up just a little, and it sets the still garden into motion. The dip and sway of the lilac blossoms is mesmerizing. It’s as if he and Victor are the center of their own little world of pretty color and soothing perfume.
“This is nice,” Yuuri says, trying to voice the contentment in his chest.
“It is. It’s putting choreography in my head,” Victor says, moving his hand through the air for a moment to mimic the soft breeze moving through the garden, “A little exhibition piece for you, maybe. Simple. No big jumps, no quads. Just you and the flowers.”
“No quads?” Yuuri repeats, skeptical. Victor flicks his hip where Yuuri’s shirt has ridden up a bit.
“Don’t tease,” he murmurs, breath warm against Yuuri’s temple, “Let me write you something soft. Our routines are always so dramatic . It makes my knees hurt just thinking about it."
Yuuri laughs softly. “Okay,” he agrees, “Choreograph me a garden, then. Just like this.”
Victor sighs happily. “It’ll be lovely. Just like my husband.”
Yuuri hides his blush against Victor’s jacket, a current of warmth flowing between them.
Vkusno! by mtothedestiel. 21266 words (complete), rated E.
Where do I even start? The food metaphors for love that made me squeal like a dying whale? The way I was absolutely slain by the shade thrown at poorly done fusion food? The beautiful descriptions of food? The little details that speak to years of Victor and Yuuri skating and living together?
This is the post series top chef fic I never knew I wanted or needed - and it is absolutely delectable from start to finish.
An aesthetic board for the fanfic The Tsesarevich lives! by @summersteve (mtothedestiel on ao3). This story is so beautiful, it never fails to make me smile while I’m reading. It has some kind of magical touch that reminds me of the movie but that is very original in its own way, I’m sure you all will love it! <3
Also @harlequinade-13 thanks for introducing me to this amazing fanfic and requesting this edit! I’m also loving to read it now <3

"Next week on Top Chef: Denver, it's that most infamous challenge...Wedding Wars! But this won't be any ordinary wedding feast. Our top twelve chefs will cook for a secret, world-famous celebrity couple with international tastes! The stakes have never been this high. Who will be crowned Top Chef, and who will be asked to pack their knives and go? Tune in to find out!"
aka:
Newly retired, Victor and Yuuri are invited to be special guests on a popular American cooking competition. Oishii!
Absolutely adorable and completely sweet, I love this fic!
Chef Popovich: [voiceover] I admit Asian cuisines are a blindspot for me, but I also don’t want Russia! It would remind me far too much of home, and of my Anya who has banished me from her love in St. Petersburg.
[Chef Popovich wastes no time drawing knife from the block, uninterested in stealing Beijing from Chef Lee, only to look despondent as he reveals the first of the three knives labeled ST. PETERSBURG, RUSSIA.]
If you can’t take the heat... by mtothedestiel. 65982 words (WIP), not rated.
This fic is probably the single best use of the script format in fandom, ever, bar none. Reading this is like watching an actual episode of top chef (but more gay). The author’s deft use of this format really shines and their obvious knowledge and love for food is a real treat!
