I wish people would automatically just know that when I say I have an awful cold it means I’ve spent the day lying down and am currently finding it hard to speak and move. I know some people can do things with colds, Janet, but they’re not me
I am muggle sick and would like to resign from life please.
Mr. C must really not be feeling good. He just came in here to ask me to feel his forehead (pretty warm), and this is apparently the third day in a row he's calling e-mailing in. I don't recall that happening since a particularly nasty flu several years back.
At least they're unlikely to automatically assume he's abusing the sick days. He almost never uses any. Almost envious of how rarely he gets sick.
So yeah, I've been feeling like I'm coming down with some sort of virus too, on top of The Glutening. 😑 Predictable, but ugh. Great pair right now.
Hopefully it won't last much longer for him, at least. He thankfully does tend to snap back faster, and without the asthma to complicate things.
The worst part about having a muggle sickness when you're a spoonie with chronic back pain is the constant, jerking coughing. Each cough not only rips my throat open (I've been tasting blood for the duration of this illness), but it also makes my back jerk and get more inflamed. Fun.
I’m muggle sick again. I’m not happy about it. ugh
I'm a spoonie with chronic pain and I recently sprained my wrist. I didn't bother going to see a doctor for a few days because my general pain was worse than the injury. The only thing I could think of when I was told it was a sprain was 'wow! I feel like an able bodied person who thinks they know how I feel all day every day.' Is that weird? I dunno.
I think that’s a pretty normal reaction. My ankle is messed up at the moment so I can relate. Like an abled person would be freaking out but I'm just sort of dealing.
It feels weird to have such a mundane problem where the source of the pain is easily explained. It’s a muggle injury, if you will, just like colds and such are muggle illnesses.
That’s the best way I’ve found to describe it, anyway.
(╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻
I’m frickin’ muggle sick.
I feel the need to scream...
but even if i tried, no sound would come out
my larynx is like you trippin’
