মুহাম্মদ আলী জিন্নাহ ছিলেন একজন ভারতীয় রাজনীতিবিদ, যিনি পাকিস্তানের প্রথম গভর্নর-জেনারেল এবং প্রতিষ্ঠাতা। জিন্নাহ ১৮৭৬ সালের ২৫শে ডিসেম্বর পাকিস্তানের করাচিতে জন্মগ্রহণ করেন। তিনি বোম্বে বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় থেকে ম্যাট্রিকুলেশন সম্পন্ন করেন এবং আইন বিষয়ে পড়াশোনা করতে ইংল্যান্ডে যান।

জিন্নাহ ১৯০৬ সালে ভারতীয় জাতীয় কংগ্রেসে যোগ দেন। সাত বছর পর তিনি মুসলিম লীগে যোগ দেন। জিন্নাহ-এর পরিকল্পিত স্বাধীন রাষ্ট্র পাকিস্তান ১৯৪৭ সালের ১৪ই আগস্ট বাস্তবে পরিণত হয়। পরদিন তিনি পাকিস্তানের প্রথম গভর্নর-জেনারেল হিসেবে শপথ নেন। পাকিস্তানে তিনি "কায়েদ-ই-আজম" বা "মহান নেতা" হিসেবে পরিচিত। ১৯৪৮ সালের ১১ই সেপ্টেম্বর তিনি পাকিস্তানের করাচির কাছে মারা যান।

দুঃখজনক বিষয়, তার মৃত্যুর পর তার উত্তরসরীরা কিন্তু দীর্ঘ ২৩ বছর বর্তমান বাংলাদেশের উপর অমানবিক নির্যাতন চালিয়ে পৃথিবী ব্যাপী তাকে সমালোচিত করেন।
