oh my god i was actually thinking last week about charro! originally being for clint eastwood but they offered it to elvis and he was really excited to do it because it was violent and ~edgy~ but by the time he got on the lot they'd rewritten the whole script and watered it down because they were afraid to have an eastwood-style ~elvis~ movie and what if colonel tom parker hadn't been such a controlling megalomaniacal dick or had better taste in projects to shove him into or what if elvis had actually at some point said no i'm not doing this shit anymore i did good in king creole i want to do another real movie and then he did and he wasn't terrible-ish and then he wound up ON STAR TREK what if he was KIRK MARIE WHAT IF HE WAS AN INTERSTELLAR LOTHARIO OR WHAT IF HE WAS MCCOY
