Muladona
In Catalan mythology, a Muladona or Donamula is a female mule with a human woman's head. Legend has it that a young woman was cursed by the townspeople for being irreverent and irreligious, and the curse turned her into a mule.
The Muladona is a mule-like creature found in Catalan mythology. The Muladona is described as a mule-like creature with the body of a mule and the head of a woman with her mane being human hair; she also is depicted with a pair of breasts as well. The Muladona was said to once have been a normal person who was irreverent and irreligious which made the townspeople angry so they cursed her which caused her to become the Muladona. Normal mules are said to be scared of the Muladona so farmers feed their mules bread in the shape of the Muladona in order to prevent them from being scared of her. If she does appear in a mule train and she scares the mules the mules will stampede and even in some cases run into ravines causing them to die.

"Muladona" from an 18th Century text In Catalan mythology a Muladona or Donamula (mule-woman or woman-mule in Catalan) is a female mule with a human womans head. Legend has it that a young woman was cursed by the townspeople for being irreverent and irreligious and the curse turned her into a mule. She is said to wander the mountains, especially at night, joining mule trains. It is thought that the mules are frightened by her presence and stampede and they may even fall into ravines and die.
