This character is a semi-minor one from the CQ-Verse, a living M.U.D. (Multi-User Dungeon) by the name of J.J. Littleships.
She’s been around since the very early days of the net, and has essentially acted as a mobile living “dungeon”; complete with semi-primitive ASCII beings as “wildlife” or even living traps in there.
Of course, she’s also extremely notable for the extremely innovative compression programs used in her construction; a necessity given her advanced nature on extremely primitive hardware, meaning a lot of very powerful stuff has ended up “stored” in her corridors; lost and forgotten; and even produced new things due to the data “mingling” via the unusual compression methods she uses.
Personality-wise, she’s old; gruff; cantankerous; and mainly concerned with maintaining her own dungeon-y self and expanding its capabilities for Dungeon-y ness, to the point where she often ignores far greater issues.
As with all the CQ-verse stuff, she is free to use as you see fit under a CC-BY Vanilla 4.0 License as long as I, Thomas F. Johnson, am credited as the creator when you do so!
And, if you wanna support me, maybe check out my Patreon, where you can get early art access; polls; and 3d models (And that’s just at the dollar-tier!) or even just send a Ko-Fi my way! Every penny is appreciated, and I am eternally grateful for those who donate!
For the record, shoutout to @thehungryreader for giving the idea of a living M.U.D. as a character, also inspired a bit by Dungeonman from Earthbound, and her name is derived from Jean Jacques Perrey’s “The Little Ships,” because of how that was extremely early electronic music; and it seemed appropriate for a character based on an extremely early form of MMORPG on an extremely early internet, and it sounded appropriately whimsical.
And yes, that is the same song from the “Going to the Store” video...
