Frankie's Weekend Football Accumulator Tips
Looking for some value this weekend? Our man Frankie's has put together his weekend football accumulator tips to help you back a winner this weekend.
Leg 1: Manchester City to win @ 1.44
Premier League: Manchester City v Tottenham
Weekend Premier League action kicks off at the Etihad Stadium where defending champions Man City have the chance to put real pressure on Chelsea at the top by clawing the margin back to just two points with a win. The Citizens slipped to defeat against Stoke earlier in the campaign but enter on the back of a four game unbeaten run including back-to-back wins over Hull and Villa, scoring six goals in the process. On paper they look worth supporting against a Spurs side in a bit of a transitional period and boasting just one win in their last five, a run which includes defeat to both Liverpool and West Brom.
Leg 2: Chelsea to win @ 1.36
Premier League: Crystal Palace v Chelsea
The Blues have barely put a foot wrong so far this season with ‘The Special One’ guiding his side to six wins and a draw from their first seven outings. The spare result came in the form of a 1-1 away to Man City, a game they could have won, but a point against the champions in their own backyard will go down as a valuable one, with the message received loud and clear – Chelsea have learned from their mistakes and are back bigger and stronger. It’s been a joy to watch Diego Costa set the division alight with nine goals already while ex-Arsenal man Cesc Fabregas is playing what appears to be the best football of his career. Palace on the other hand have won just twice all season while leaking eight goals.
#Chelsea are W20 (46.51%), D15 (34.88%) & L8 (18.60%) of 43 games against Crystal Palace.
— Chelsea Stats (@ChelseaStats) October 13, 2014
Leg 3: Celtic to win @ 1.29
Scottish Premiership: Ross County v Celtic
If new Celtic boss Ronny Deila wasn’t wanted when he arrived in the summer he has done little to win fans round with two league defeats on the board so far and exit from the Champions League in humiliating circumstances. The feeling of unrest is beginning to pour down from the half-empty stands and The Bhoys need a big performance to get them back on side. Luckily they get the chance to drag themselves up the table with a win moving them into the top three for a few hours at least. It’s difficult to make a case for County after losing their first seven.
Leg 4: Valencia to win @ 1.80
La Liga: Deportivo v Valencia
Pick of the Spanish fixtures doesn’t look difficult to me this week with struggling Deportivo hosting high-flying Valencia. The visitors have carved out an early season run of five wins and two draws to haul themselves to second spot in La Liga. Those positive results have come against the likes of Malaga and Espanyol but their most impressive feat so far was a 3-1 win over Atletico Madrid last time out. Confidence will be sky-high in the away dressing room and the international break would have only helped their cause. We can’t overlook them in their current form and I won’t be.
Leg 5: Juventus to win @ 1.40
Serie A: Sassuolo v Juventus
Top of Serie A takes on bottom in a game we’ve simply got to have in our acca. The hosts haven’t enjoyed much of the summer, winless after six games with three points on the board. They lost each of their last two outings, going down to Lazio and Napoli and the fact that they have already conceded 12 goals should make punters take note. Juve boast a perfect half-dozen and have rattled in 13 while only conceding two. The attack in the away dressing room will be licking their lips at this one, as are punters, and Juve complete our accumulator.

Champions Multi - 20-22 June 2014
Not a great weekend for the Champions Multi with the first 2 legs going down on Saturday! Things improved after that but by that point we were out, time to go back to the drawing board and get back the mojo that got us a win in the first week.
A bit of a mix of tips again this week with NRL, AFL and World Cup and let’s hope that we get back on the right track again with a win!
This month’s Champions Multi team consists of @jperrott84 who took out the People’s Multi for May with 4 correct tips out of 5. Sports Banter’s @BanterSteve came in a close second (also with 4/5) and @Glewy89 & @TheEducatedEel round out the top 4, both also finishing with 4/5 such was the tightness of the competition.
How will this team do? The first week was hopefully a sign of things to come and they’ll be looking to be the first team to win 2 Champions Multi bets in one month.
This week we still have the World Cup in action which is obviously going to be popular this month, a shortened round of NRL action and a full round of AFL. Check out the 4 leg multi below and be sure to give us your thoughts, will it come in?
How much will you be putting on it? Let us know on Twitter @sports_banter or in the comments below.

People's Multi - 20-23 June 2014
Last weekend we were so far away from getting another People’s Multi up it wasn’t funny, both bets went down on the first leg and never looked like coming in. Let’s hope we have a massive improvement this week and don’t forget you, the people, determine what gets included by putting in your vote on the comments that get submitted. So get involved!
This week, the World Cup is in full swing so feel free to incorporate these tips again for the People’s Multi, however just be aware that only tips for Saturday, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday mornings will be able to be accepted. Thursday and Friday will be too early for the People’s Multi and Wednesday too late.
You can check out the Monthly leaderboard here where you can see the final standings for May including winner, @jperrott84, and the 3 other Champions Multi tipsters for June in @BanterSteve, @Glewy89 and @TheEducatedEel. You can also check out the standings for the first week of June with @JesseRolph leading thanks to his Brett Stewart anytime try scorer tip last week!
Who will take out the People’s Multi for June? Get involved and give yourself a chance of winning the prize!
As you’d know by now, we mixed things up a bit by scrapping the poll and opening up the People’s Multi voting to all tipsters, this is how we used to do it and now that we have all the tips going through the comments section admin has become much easier for us to handle. This means that once you submit your tip for the week, it is immediately ready to be voted on. You can vote a tip up or down as you like, if you think a tip that’s getting votes isn’t a sure thing, then you have the power to take it down a peg!
If you think your tip is a certainty and should be in there, than be sure to vote on it and make sure others know about it too, getting the most votes is the only way your tip can make it into the multi’s each week!
To vote on a tip, just scroll down to the bottom of this page to see the tips that have been entered in the comments section, it’s that easy! If you put a tip in make sure you have a vote as well, the more votes we get obviously the clearer it will be as to which tips are popular!
We’ll stick with the current format of two 4 legged multis which has got us a couple of wins over the past month or so!
We’ve also decided that from now on you can use any bookmaker for your tips, just keep in mind that if you’re eligible for the people’s multi voting your tip could go into the weekly bet that we publish on the site, so best not to go too obscure.
You can find the details of all the rules and instructions here as we won’t be including them in the weekly post from now on.
You can find the overall leaderboard here, this can be used to assist you in the voting process, as now all tips are open for voting, it’s up to you to make sure the best ones get through each week.
Also, feel free to share on Twitter, Facebook, at work etc. Let’s get as many people involved as possible, the more tips we get sent the more we have to choose from to create a cracking multi! So get involved! Let’s take those bookies down! And remember, tip wisely, there’s a $100 reward on the line for the top tipper at the end of each month! Good luck!

Champions Multi - 6-8 June 2014
We took a well earned (well we think so) break last weekend and looked to recharge our batteries for an attack on winter with the NRL, AFL and Rugby in full swing along with a month worth of quality football action with the upcoming World Cup. We’re now into a new month with May’s People’s Multi coming to a close last week.
This month’s Champions Multi team consists of Sports banter’s very own @danazz09 taking out the People’s Multi for April with 4 correct tips out of 4. @Liftoo came in a close second (also with 4/4) and Sports banter’s @BanterSteve finished the month with 3/3 after missing the first week. Rounding out the top 4 was last month’s People’s Multi Champion @PerthMusicKid who gets another go at the Champions Multi after finishing with 3/4.
How will this team do and will the influence of some of Sports Banter’s best have an effect on the results? The first week was hopefully a sign of things to come.
This week we have shortened rounds of both NRL and AFL, Scandanavian football leagues in full swing and the Socceroos go head to head with South Africa in a friendly on Monday night. Check out the 4 leg multi below and be sure to give us your thoughts, will it come in?
How much will you be putting on it? Let us know on Twitter @sports_banter or in the comments below.
No Champions Multi team has got more than 1 win on the board in a month, and some go through the 4/5 weeks empty handed, can we turn that around and give it a good crack from this week onwards? Last week was a good start!
