We've just had one battleship, yes, but what about second battleship?
Multifandom battleship is live and looking for prompts!
There are 280 people signed up to the multifandom event getting ready to make 2000 works in three weeks, and all of those gifts are going to need to be gifts for people. If you want to Enrich The Game (and you're 18-plus) you can stop by and offer prompts! I am specifically hoping for MCYT prompts, but there are So Many Fandoms in the event that are also looking for prompts! Come on down!
Prompts are made at the collection here by clicking on Prompt Form. Detailed instructions about how to prompt are here (ignore anything it says about signing up, that was for people signing up to play the game and we're already at max players).
Each prompt needs to have a Fandom, Relationship or Character, the mediums you're okay with, any Major Archive Warnings you're okay with, at least one Freeform tag for people to match on, and then the body of the prompt itself, which is where you put your Do Not Want and any details about the prompt itself you want. For freeform tags, you can pick from this list of almost 600 tags, or there's a ticky spreadsheet you can make a copy of to use on your own computer and have them export into a nice list you can just copy-paste onto Ao3! People only have to match to one freeform tag for their gift to be valid, so you can put as few as one or as many as every single freeform on there and let people go shopping. You can put 20 freeforms in the "additional tags" slot and an unlimited number in the "optional tags" spot, and there's no mechanical difference between them, people will still be picking from that whole list to try and gift to people! Note that you need to only put tags that are on the list or your prompt may be deleted, because mods don't want people trying to hit "friends to family" and then it turns out that that's not on the gameplay board.
Prompts can be as detailed (scarian cyberpunk arranged marriage wedding night) or as broad ranging (any of these 300 tags as long as it's team PE) as you like! You have to pick from the list of relationship tags in the tag set to be able to fill out a prompt, but if the relationships you are interested in aren't there, you can click on "nominate" in the top right-hand corner and nominate the tags you want and check back a few hours later! All tags have to be disambiguated (have the fandom in parentheses after the tag itself, like Ranboo/Tubbo (Dream SMP)), so if the tag gets unstuck from the fandom the mods can know where it goes to put it back. There are I think 12,000 tags in the tag set already so mods have a lot of fandoms in there they're not familiar with! You can also request character-focused work and not relationship in the format 1: Grian (Life Series), but the 1: before the name is very important, that's to keep the tag set from snarling cause it thinks we're putting a character tag in the relationship slot. (Which we are, but that's because you gotta break the tag set over your knee a little to make an event of this size work.) Note that if you request a solo character tag people can also include any other characters in canon, including romantic relationships, so be sure to DNW it if you don't want shipping or you have specific notps you don't want in your gift.
DNW? DNW stands for Do Not Want, and it's anything that would annoy, trigger, or squick you that you don't want in your gift. DNWs have to be polite (so no "no abuse because that's creepy to write about abuse), and they must be reasonable (so no "no blood/injury" if you also opted into MCD, and no trying to box someone into a very specific gift, so no "DNW anything that isn't a gladiator au where technoblade fights with a trident and phil has clipped wings and fights with a bow and they learn how to enchant things secretly and in the middle of a rainstorm technoblade uses riptide to escape the ring"), and they must be precise and easily understood (so no "no dark content"). If you're requesting any NSFW tags it's a good idea to have a NSFW DNW specifically, because there are a lot of kinks in the world and you never know what tags someone is trying to hit.
So— fandom, relationship/character, medium, any archive warnings, freeform tags for people to match on, and your DNW and any details about your prompt in the text box. If you don't have any DNW you can just put DNW - No Restrictions, but be aware that that opens you up to Anything, and I do mean Anything. You're ready to prompt for battleship! Go forth, enrich the game with your story and art ideas, your niche blorbos, your fandoms of the heart and the new hyperfixation you discovered last week. I'll see you in the gameplay!
