Topping out on “Maiden Voyage” and “King me” in the Black Canyon. Cheesing.
Symettery couloir up to Durrance Ridge up to the summit of Symettery Spire with views of the Grand Teton.
This is essentially my backyard and I feel so damn fortunate to be here. Little Cottonwood season has commenced and my stoke is so high for the trad climbing here!
Life has really just been one hard thing after another lately, and especially in the last few weeks there was so much going on at once. My anxiety has been sky high. Endless draining decisions to make and things to deal with and being in a total rut with work and just... everything. We have two weeks off now and were planning to cycle tour towards Croatia, but last week finally admitted to ourselves that neither of us could currently deal with the amount of planning it would have required - so now we're just winging it instead :D ended up being so lucky though because an old friend of Ben's we haven't seen in two years was passing through Switzerland this weekend and asked if we wanted to do something fun. Which resulted in an epic weekend! Arrived late on Friday night, stayed in a campsite by the lake, got up early on Sat and hiked up to the base of a 250m multi pitch, climbed said multipitch, hiked back down to our packs at the base, wild camped on a high plateau nearby, witnessed a pretty wild thunderstorm in the night, and hiked back down this morning when it started raining and it was clear all climbs would be too wet. Lots of fun and catching up and banter. Learned quite a lot too - it was my first multipitch in two years :'D Sooo enjoyed just being out and getting to turn my mind off and only worry about the next step. Yesterday ended up being 1600m of ascent total, I feel pretty wrecked today, and I couldn't be happier about it. Hopefully more of this for the rest of the holiday.
Ponant neuf, Tour Thermier, 26 août 2020.
I dont have the words to express the beauty of today. One of the most beautiful route on the most perfect rock I've ever seen, with a breathtaking view.
This is Misfit Prophets (5.10c/d 3 pitch) on Prophesy Wall in Utah.
Imagine. Rocks. 🤤
For real though. I miss groping the good mothers jugs, fingering her crevices, and fisting those dirty cracks.
Tell me rock climbing isnt the gayest sport
