New Call Of Duty: Infinite Warfare Multiplayer Beta Trailer Released
A brand new Call Of Duty: Infinite Warfare multiplayer Beta trailer has been released ahead of it going live this weekend on PS4. The PS4 Beta starts at 6pm on Friday and runs all weekend to 6pm on Monday. The following weekend will see both the Xbox One and PS4 Beta go live for the same duration, from 21st to 24th.
According to the press release, the multiplayer Beta will allow players to ‘suit up in the Warfighter, Merc, and Synaptic Combat Rigs, each with their own unique Payloads and Traits. Field-test a fresh new arsenal of weapons and equipment as you level up. Battle through new and classic Multiplayer game modes. And put your skills to the test in the brand new Mission Teams that rewards you for completing challenges issued by each team’s unique commander.’
Multiplayer Beta access is available only to customers who pre-order Call Of Duty: Infinite Warfare, so don’t delay and pre-order your copy from The Game Collection today.

We are seeing a blossoming of innovative multiplayer systems. In previous eras there were a handful of default models that games might use (matches, play-by-mail). Games today exist on a spectrum from fully concurrent to fully asynchronous and everything in between. A game like Dark Souls is predominantly single player, but includes interactions that are asynchronous (the leaving of messages and deaths) or fully concurrent (the joining of another player into your game for PvP or Coop.)
