It's with a very, very heavy heart to let my friends and family know that my Dad passed away. I started another GoFundMe to try to get enough for a down payment for a Memorial. My dad didn't have life insurance and we are very limited on funds and my doctor hasn't cleared me to go back to work and my sister is on a small military pension.

I’m finally starting to feel better, thanks to an oldie but goodie drug called CellCept. After ten years of fighting, my cancer is stable on a treatment that isn’t as brutal on my body, and for the first time in years I’m feeling real relief from my neuro symptoms.

The Savior continues to hold me up as I figure out who I am in this new season of healing. When life has been heavy for so long, who do you become afterward? I’m still learning, and I’ll keep sharing my journey as I go. ❤️

Thank you for every prayer, every kind word, every meal, every bit of support. They’ve all been answers to my own quiet pleas to the Lord. My one hope is to pay it forward!

It’s treatment day … yet again 🥱

Have you ever found yourself sitting in silence, only to feel slightly uncomfortable? For me, it brings me face to face with the trauma I’ve carried, especially from this past year. But I’m learning that the only way to truly share the miracles in my story is to also acknowledge the heartbreak that came before them. Without tragedy, there can be no miracle.

Healing from my health trauma or any kind of trauma, has meant allowing myself to sit with it again and again, until the pain begins to soften and lose its hold. Through it all, my relationship with Jesus Christ has brought comfort, peace, and a quiet kind of strength I never knew I had.

And if you’re someone who’s learning to sit through your own pain or trauma … I see you. Be gentle with yourself. Don’t give up. One day, you’ll look back and realize you made it through, and you’ll be okay. 💜
