He didn’t know the man. He barely knew about this world, and he had found himself in this town and tavern because it had been closest to where he had woken. With the weird, green hole in the sky though, he had a feeling fate had lead him here. The few conversations and informations he had gotten lead him to believe Haven was the headquarters of the people that wanted to do something about some mess.
He had sensitive hearing, however, even though some of the drunken patrons weren’t so quiet. And Ryuuma felt annoyance at how they slandered the mage. Oh yes, the hybrid could sense the magic from the man. Just like he could sense a lack of evilness. Ryuuma had demon blood after all, even if it wasn’t the one that was the strongest out of his own mix. Still, it gave him special senses, and this was man was far from a mind controlling, blood magic user.
Maybe his real reason for his mounting annoyance was how this brought back some memories he didn’t like all that much.
Eventually, the young man stood up all of the sudden, catching attention of some of the closest people, but Ryuuma paid no mind. He walked to the counter, asked for two drinks, and silently went to sit in front of the man.
The second drink was slided toward the man as the dark haired sipped at his own. “Feels like you need one.” Ryuuma simply commented, voice soft enough to carry only for the man. And then the tiniest of smirk showed, partially hidden by the cup. “And you look like the one that is the best company around here.”
Yes, the last few words were spoken a bit louder, but the dark look he sent the drunken idiots that had been loudest seemed enough to made them look away. The perks of demon blood: intimidation was easy. That, or it was a Ryuuma special. He knew one certain vampiric idiot that would agree.
