There's a funny little passage from the books that credited Moomintroll for starting an evolution for his kind with all his winter adventures. So that they may never need to hibernate during the winter as their bodies got used to the cold.

I did intend to draw it in summertime at first, but being in a tropical country meant I rarely get to draw snow. Let me HAVE this!
