In Chinese Medicine the condition of the feet is considered crucial to overall health and wellness. There are points in the feet that relates directly to organs, glands and other parts of the body. Furthermore, one-quarter of the body's bones are in the feet, so when they are misaligned this can cause trouble in the hip, knees, lower back, even neck! In Winter we spend most of the time with our feet squished into shoes walking around on flat surfaces. This means there's no opportunity to properly exercised all of the intrinsic muscles in our feet and keep them healthy. This pose is a good way to stretch out the feet. Do it for 1 minute at a time 3 times a day and you will notice massive changes in your posture, sense of grounding, coordination and balance. Walking barefoot on uneven surfaces such as sand or rocks is also really good for healthy feet. A strong house must be built on a strong base and the same goes for our bodies! Keep your feet strong and flexible for all over body health. Isla and I love this Manduca Sling from Fertile Mind, feels like being pregnant again and good way to keep her snug and warm on these wintery days. (This isn't normal wearing position but she always likes to get her hands out haha) 👍 #foothealth #yogaforfeet #yogaforhealth #13weekspostpartum #happyandhealthy #myyogalife #postpartumyoga #yogawithbaby #babywearing #mumsandbubsyoga #postpartumfitness #footyoga
