Using Faker with Mulesoft

Faker is one of those tools that can save you a lot of time. It generates for you massive amounts of fake data  for testing taking that out of your headspace.

Basically it is Lorem Ipsum for software development.

So, when I finally got this thing to work it boiled down to:

Adding the dependency on the project POM file, it looks like this: 

        <dependency>             <groupId>com.github.blocoio</groupId>             <artifactId>faker</artifactId>             <version>1.2.7</version>         </dependency>

Generating the Expression Language global functions to use, here is an example:

Using the new functions in DataWeave, here is an example:

Maybe there’s better ways to get this done, let me know if you have a better approach.

A few months ago, Nvidia released an “image translation” program called MUNIT, which (among other things) could turn pictures of dogs into cats and vice-versa.

The above is what happens when you use humans as the input images instead of dogs or cats.

Luckily for you all, it did not work on Nina Tucker.
