MUPD Blue
It’s Blue! Happy to meet the Marquette University Police Department community outreach dog. Blue is a good boy.
It’s official. On May 1, 2015, the Department of Public Safety became the Marquette University Police Department.

Quidditch-Loving Mizzou Enthusiast 'Looking for a Good Time' (UPDATED)
Meet Cassie. She is your normal fun-loving Mizzou gal who enjoys a few drinks at Harpo's and playing Quidditch on the weekends. She also has friends with a perverse sense of humor, as you can see from this poster we found stapled to a tree on Ninth Street.
This has nothing to do with the Missouri School of Journalism, but let's just call this one a general human interest piece.
Our tipster tells us these posters are spread out all over Mizzou's campus, which took some real dedication to mischief.
Although we have blocked out Cassie's phone number and last name, we gave her a call and sent her a Facebook message to get the 411 on this poster.
UPDATE 1: We just got off the phone with THE Cassie, and we have some more details about the poster incident.
She has no idea which of her friends put up these posters all over campus. She doubts they will come forward, because she says that MUPD is looking to press charges against the people behind the posters for littering.
I know a lot of people would be angry to have a poster like this spread all over campus, but Cassie found the whole thing hilarious. Good to see she can laugh it off!
The posters were effective though. She's received a half dozen calls and about 20 text messages today, mostly from strangers. Until she listened to my voice mail looking for an interview, she didn't know why so many strangers were calling her and sending her text messages. Though she is single, all of the text messages and phone calls have been mocking, and not a serious attempt to score a date with her.
She still has not seen one of these posters, so somebody really needs to get on that.
And for those of you who looked closely at Cassie's photo, yes, she is wearing her "famous Mizzou snuggie."
UPDATE 2: Captain Scott Richardson of the University of Missouri Police Department has confirmed to J-School Buzz that MUPD is investigating the matter, and if the suspects are identified, could face littering charges.
