Juhaku: 11 and 15 :)
send me a ship and some numbers and I’ll tell you:
11. What do they hide from one another?
Well…After joining together, I feel like there’s nothing they actively hide from one another (I still think about the significance of Judal only allowing Hakuryuu to know his birth/milk name!). But there are some things that they just never thought was important to tell one another, so they take the other quite by surprise when one offhandedly mentions it. Many of these things are childhood trauma-related. It probably goes something like this:
Hakuryuu: “Hey, Judal, how did you end up with dark rukh anyway? Were you born with it?”
Judal: “Oh, no, your mom took me down to the basement a bunch of times so they could all hold me down and magically pump it into me until it became permanent.”
Hakuryuu: (fucking CHOKES)
Judal: “...You know, I kind of thought you knew that. It just occurred to me that you wouldn’t have.”
...or, on a lighter note:
Judal, levitating, as he does: “Hey, Hakuryuu, aren’t you glad I was your first kiss?”
Hakuryuu: “Oh, no, you weren’t. Morgiana-dono was.”
Judal: (fALLS OUT OF THE SKY) “EHHHHH?!?!”
15. When they watch a film what do they choose and why? Who gets the final vote?
Oh God, these two’s taste in movies could not be more different.
Judal is the biggest fan of cheesy sci-fi and horror movies: the worse, the better. He has no patience for Hakuryuu’s tendency to get too involved in analyzing a movie to actually enjoy it. Hakuryuu, for his part, is a fan of psychological thrillers, suspense, and mysteries in general. The one time their preferences overlap is in their shared love of conspiracy documentaries and, surprisingly, nature programs (Hakuryuu for the beauty of different environments, Judal because he wants to see something eat something else).
They usually end up flipping a coin, playing rock-paper-scissors, or making some other wager to decide who gets to choose the movie. They’re very competitive and serious about it.
