I’ve been looking into doll’s motif/the falling for you motif (let’s call it the nuzi motif) instead of studying, so here’s what I got:
dolls motif uses the piano/keys, making her stand out a bit more from the rest of the crew. murder drones typically uses techno vibey instruments while she has a classical instrument. her instrument choice also kinda fits her character because she has a separate mission and motive (and she speaks a different language).

falling with you uses a lot, including lots of strings, giving it a more dramatic/romantic vibe and impact. there’s also a use of some techno-esque components, making it fit into the typical style of murder drones.
I’m starting to think that murder drones uses the piano to express “human emotion.” doll is fighting for her parents in ep 3 and she’s fighting for her freedom from the solver. (the nuzi motif is obviously love). however, i have not listened to every single song and counted each one that includes piano, so using the piano may just be for vibes/other reasons.

Had an idea of humans marking some more defient drones w/ brands, like how farmers brand their cattle, but with burning hot rods that cause damage to the wires that got burned
The scar on his back is supposed to say JcJenson Property on it but I didn't have enough room
The damage to his wires on his back also affected his right arm and leg(the damage was like nerve damage but like, the robot version or smth)
When he gets flare ups, his right arm and leg tingle like their asleep while burning at the same time, it gets worse the longer it lasts(the flare ups can last from a couple of hours to days) it mostly affects his arm and back(his back is the most painful{it's also covered in whip scars 😔}) When his flare ups last days he becomes practically bed ridden, all you would hear is groans and moans of pain, almost nothing helps, no matter how much people(nori & the mechanics) try :(
The only thing that helps is pressure surprisingly, but it only helps when he has shorter flare ups, when their longer, there's nothing anyone can do but just try to distract him from the pain
He tries to bare through it most of the time, even when it's during his longer flare ups, which causes him even more pain, he's very stubborn and doesn't like to be seen as weak, most people in the outpost see him as a pathetic door obsessed maniac, so he doesn't want to make it worse, all it results in his lack luster performance and, during the longer flare ups, him to collapse.
Talking about Uzi and a the trauma this girl had to go through because she literally me
This girl was doomed from the beginning. I know this girl deep down just wants to cry for her mama, at least when she was younger. Being so isolated from the people around you that you don’t feel like a people. You feel like a scared animal, ready to bite scratch and claw because that’s the only way you’ll survive. She can’t even let her wall down around her dad because this dude obviously doesn’t care, his main concerns being his doors and I KNOW that had to hurt. Now imagine running for your life, trying to fix a mistake and then having your dad leave you for DEAD. Like I feel we skipped over that fact WAY TOO FAST. I know that heart of hers was aching with anger and sadness. She knew he didn’t care but to stoop to this level? Well that just solidified everything.
And that camping episode?, even MORE heartbreaking. Like imagine the two people who willing hang out with you are easily making friends while you are ostracized and ignored because they all think you’re weird, a freak. A monster. Now that toppled with your body changing drastically, you now feel like a monster. And she tries so hard to hide it from them and when it comes out? She wants to hide, run away. Because both V and N saw what she looked like now, and she expected them both to react like how V did. To immediately be scared, to kill. She was so scared that N was going to leave. She felt gross, she felt like a monster. This poor girl was going through it.
Now fast forward to episode 6 and her getting basically strapped down and used for parts while trying her best not to while being terrified for not only herself but for N as well who got flash-banged by those Australian Dino nuggets. Side tangent, can we talk about how we saw how much V actually cared for her in this scene? She risked her life to make sure she didn’t get killed and became defensive and protective when making it back to N and Tessa. She didn’t want her gf getting more hurt as is. End of side tangent.
Now more hurt is toppled onto her as she basically is unable to do anything as V put her life on the line for all of them. Then feeling like her trust was broken when N talked about not hurting her, like that was somehow an original plan that she was not aware of. You can slowly watch the pain get brought back and the trust crumble and fall in her eyes as she steps away. The one person she thought she could trust.
This girl STILL can catch a break, watching doll die in front of her and then Tessa almost kill her. Then having to fight her MOM unknowingly while drop kicking her down into the abyss. THEM SHE pulls the self sacrificing stunt and basically makes sure N doesn’t die at the expense of her life. THEN hugging N so tight because she didn’t think she’d get to hung him again, she was so sure she was going to die and kinda being a bit scared of rejection when she saw how mad N was because of her stunt. But the happiness she must’ve felt when he confirmed their relationship. Cause she finally found her person, someone who likes her weirdness, likes her for her. The good and the bad. Someone who no matter how much she bit snarled and tried to scare them away, stayed with her through and through. Her heart must’ve felt so warm.
But guess what, this fandom HATES HAPPINESS! Because not only does she have to get HER CORE RIPPED OUT by Cyn, but she has to watch N scream in pain and fear as he gets torn apart by Cyn, then having to drag his limp body and try and hide, then HIS CORE getting ripped out.
EVERYONE NEEDS TO CHILL THE FUCK OUT. It's actually *insane* how much negativity there is. "Oh new ep sucked and was so "MLP power of friendship" okay cool good for you except you bitched about a possibly tragic ending before so I don't wanna hear it! "Uzi is so cringe!" cool good for you, that's been the entire show (in the most positive way possible) and maybe she's just not for you. "Oh nuzi was just fanservice" if you believe that I'm going to need to understand show was pre-written, nothing changed besides the vampire storyline for Disassembly Drones. You don't ship it? Good for you! Don't harass others and *certainly don't fucking doxx liam TWICE.* "Oh i hate envy and they can't ship it anymore it's not canon" that's the beauty of shipping, you can ship whatever you want!! (Within reason ofc) and don't harass those who do ship it. if they aren't going after others, don't go after them.
The toxic shippers need to CHILL the fuck out, and this is coming from a SUPER big Nuzi shipper. I am over the moon that they're canon, but both sides fucking SUCK. you all constantly make the other out to be the worse when you both equally suck. Instead of dedicating your life to hating on fictional robots holding hands, you're gonna need to go touch grass and maybe go hold hands with a ship you hate. I've gotten *death threats* for the record, for shipping Nuzi, told it was delusional and weird etc etc, so I'm coming from a place of experience.
My envy friend? Gotten told off and shit for shipping envy. It's literally a two way battle y'all, you all just don't *want* to see the other side.
If a ship of two robots that is LEGAL bothers you that much, you need to get the fuck off the internet and go to therapy.
I love how these two improve each other, like Uzi teaches N to stand up for himself better and N teaches Uzi its okay to not to always repress her emotions,
Uzi and N are patient with each other and recognize each other’s nuances (which I’m kinda a sucker for-)
Before some of the “Fun police” come after me and Nuzi shippers claiming “their just friends” or “they have an age gap!”
N quite literally says “Shes a kid! like us V!”
They have the same mental capacity, the only thing that differentiates is N is programmed not to age-
Uzi is canonically around the ages of 18-20 years, she’s just really short (possibly on copper 9 thats still a kid because their further from the sun then earth is)
Uzi and N are honestly the Robotic Cyber Angel Version of Edward and Bella from twilight (the vampire concept is still there-)
I’ve seen so much Nuzi ship hate specifically on Tiktok- its so crazy because they see Uzi and N as “Just friends” or “Like siblings” when their noticeably romantic with eachother, (the hand holding, the blushing, etc)
Even so their romance isn’t the main storyline, we witness them grow together and become more connected with themselves, which i should point out thats how romance forms too- they weren’t love at first sight they were a slow burn type of relationship,
Plus they’re probably the first people to actually connect with each other and genuinely care about each other, with N being treated horribly by V and J and Uzi being treated like a Freak by everyone in her Colony, they understand each other and thats what makes them both my favorite ship and Duo regardless if they’re romantic or platonic
uh, controversial opinion, i didnt like the MD finale
[spoilers/ranting]
now dont get me wrong, i feel like the ending was fine, but the trip to get to said ending? ehhhhhhhhhhhh..
the animation is like, the greatest, prob the greatest in the entire series. however, the writing for that episode feels under cooked. like, theres too many plot holes, too many lose ends, the pacing is absolute dog water.
but the biggest issue? N and Uzi's personalities changed. Uzi reverted back to pilot emo gremlin, and N turns into strictly Uzi support with PTSD.
like, idk, i feel like N really didnt do anything, like, you could prob remove him from the episode and it would be more or less the same. and if you look at the merch?
feral N? decapitating J??? i dont think N earned this, that didnt happen. im 99% sure N doesnt even lay a finger on J that whole episode, the most he even interacts with J is writing the "I O U one spaceship" note. like, the N that was teased and shown in the merch vs the N in the actual episode is not the same person. [no i dont mean that literally]
Vs stand? she 'died' fighting the sentinels, Uzi's? she sacrificed herself fighting the solver/cyn, N's? he didnt do that, eldritch J doesnt even show up in the finale, N doesnt really even fight outside of supporting Uzi and V, none of the DDs even get X visors for that matter.
alot of the characters feel useless i think. like, khan doesnt really do anything, nori doesnt really do anything, thad and lizzy, N, hell, even J. this episode just kinda boils down to Uzi vs Cyn with strong support from V. wouldnt be so much of an issue if Uzi hadnt had her time to shine in episode 7 aswell, like, everything before this was building up for N to take a grand stand or something. he should be PISSED at Cyn, everything and everyone hes ever loved got stripped from him because of Cyn, he literally DIED for Cyn back at the manor, only to watch as himself and V are mutilated and transformed into the DDs, and he gets dumped on a planet where hes abused by J for god knows how long, and when he finally starts to stand up for himself, make a friend/lover in Uzi, reconnect with V, they end up 'dying' right in front of him, FOR him aswell.
all of that stress, all of that fear, all of that anger, and what does N do when he gets back to the surface? sees J working with Cyn? sees Cyn literally destroying the planet? hell, even comes face to face with Cyn?? he just stands there in fear. weve seen N push past his fear before, weve seen N confront Cyn before, so why now is he just standing there? or the one point in the fight where he stops because Cyn flashes a picture of a dog on her visor, like, that shouldnt of have stopped him. thats the person he should hate the most in the universe right now, giving him second thoughts over a png of a random dog. like, huh???????
N also never gets a resolution to his literal years of CONSTANT abuse from J. the only time N lays hands on J is episode 2 with eldritch J. who fights J the whole finale? V. whos pissed at J for betraying them? V. but whos decapitating J in the mural? N. huh? what? why??? also this is a minor nitpick, but in the ending where N yells "THATS MY GIRLFRIEND!!! :D" that doesnt seem like an N thing to do, like, N is a very humble character, he doesnt come off as the type to brag about having a gf.
not to mention Uzi, omg. i think in the finale Uzi is just being a dickhead. for example, when N recovers her he openly says and expresses that hes angry at her for what she did, and what does she do? she headbutts him and calls him a bitch. now lets consider V. what does she do upon finding out N is alive? she apologizes profusely, UNPROVOKED.
what does Uzi do upon seeing V is fine? she makes a deadpan comment about how shes happy V is alive. now tbf, she does look back and give a genuine smile, just to say like "hey, im being serious tho", but like, still, damn Uzi.
another thing i dont like is how serious moments keep getting ruined by jokes. every time something devastating happens, you either dont get time to process it before gets resolved, or the tension is destroyed by a joke.
N getting his core ripped out for example, the second i started to panic, like "OH GOD CYN HAS N'S CORE-" his core is back in his body and hes fine after like 10 seconds. every 'fake out' death in that episode doesnt work, because it gets resolved in literally 20 seconds or less. but i feel thats more a result of the serious pacing issues in the episode.
the episode is 20 minutes, whatever, but keep in mind, MD: Intermission, THE FAN EPISODE, is about 21 minutes long. thats right, A FAN EPISODE MADE BY A COLLEGE STUDENT WAS LONGER THAN THE FINALE. WHAT????????
overall i just think the finale comes off as incredibly rushed, hell, even the merch seems rushed. now im not gonna point any fingers, but certain items seem kindaaaa, ehhhhhhh [cough cough, cat V plush, Cyn plush, and random sticker sheet that just uses the animatez box art]
but yea, thats my 2 cent about the MD finale, overall im prob gonna forget about that episode and go read fic rewrites or something
TIME TO RAMBLE ABOUT J FOR SEEMINGLY NO REASON AT ALL
Okay so I recently realized that J is by far the character in Murder Drones with the saddest story.
I have reasons and evidence to back this up, read the rest for more information.
This post will contain MAJOR SPOILERS for all of Murder Drones.

Okay so J... she's got to have one of the saddest character stories in Murder Drones at this point.
Yes she's cruel now, but that's besides the point.
J is most likely unaware that her "boss" was just Cyn masquerading as Tessa for the past several years, pretending to be her, using the Disassembly Drones as her tools.
The two she trusted the most (Tessa and V) are either dead or missing (I say missing since it isn't confirmed that V's dead yet).
Cyn also took control over J in episode 5 Home, and most likely had J (along with the other Worker Drones at the gala) assist in killing Tessa and all the other humans who were present at the time. Meaning J helped kill one of the only people she trusted without even knowing.
J's entire life as a Disassembly Drone, has been nothing except lies, from the company itself to the one she called boss. She has lost everyone she trusts the most.
