This afternoon I'm grateful for:
-- friends who have my back -- chronic pain condition not bothering me today -- I have a solid opening scene for a story I'm writing, thanks to the coffeehouse writing day on Saturday with friends -- two little murdercats who supervise me when I work from home -- dark roast coffee
Characters who are nonbinary and you can’t tell me otherwise because I’m right and also I can do what I want:
Tucker Foley from Danny Phantom
Prince Naveen from Princess and the Frog
Furzepelt from Warriors
Blue from Wings of Fire
Fernando from Rio
Feel free to add on
i caved and made a warrior cats oc
her name is littlepaw and she’s got a crush on a kittypet and she’s rude
One oc. Two different designs. I was torn between an albino or a blue smoke for Catastrophe but in the end I chose the albino. Really liked how these turned out!
Noah fence but words cannot describe how much I love mousefur. Grouchy stubborn ball of pride and love.
THIS TOOK ME FOREVER but it’s finally done!! Style meme borrowing the styles of some of my favorite artists in the warriors fandom!
Be sure to check out all the artists these styles came from!!:

unpopular opinion
The warriors series is such a Franchise tm. Honestly its terribly written and you can tell by author interviews that it was written with a successful franchise in mind. There is little descriptive/ figurative language and leaves SO detail out that i can barely picture the scene in my head ( which may have something to do with the fact that the quality of my imagination has significantly decreased since I’ve grown, however, I digress). The scenes are fast paced even when they are meant to be slow, simply because of the utter lack of words.
This is what is telling of a Franchise book; think Maximum Ride by James Patterson. Each book was written with the next thirty books in mind. Questions like “what happens next?” “Who will this cat mate with?” and “who dies next?” are the kind of things that guide the story, rather than the much more interesting, “what did it feel like? what does it look like? what was this character’s emotion and how can it be described?”
It is for a youth audience, this I realize, however, as a kid I have read books SO MUCH BETTER. Why did I love warriors so much? because its a franchise! youre Supposed to Love It.
Another thing that peeves me about the series is the repetition of tropes. 1)starclan is like oh shit 2)starclan shares some incredible prophecy thats basically impossible to interpret 3) the destined cat(s) fulfill prophecy 4)a few characters needlessly die, some die meaningfully, someone gets pregnant and someone else falls in love and then of course 5) firestar is always the Chosen Fucking One.
all things considered. I’m still reading it lmao
