I know birthdays aren't really your thing, but did you really think I was going to let your birthday go unnoticed? Do you not know who you raised? I would throw you a giant party if I could. I don't say it everyday, but I am so, so grateful that you got stuck with Josie and I. You have shaped me into the very woman I am today, and when I needed someone you were always there (if not, a plane trip away). I wish I could take you to our favorite little cafe in Paris for a cute little mimosa brunch, and while New Orleans isn't Paris, we could recreate it! You have sacrificed so much to be the woman you are today and I am so, so proud of who you are. I love you, and Happy Birthday!

Jeremy, I can't decide if you're lucky, or unlucky to have a birthday on Friday the 13th. This calls for a horror movie night, right? Anyways! Yay you for making it another year in life, not that I was worried or anything.... All that aside, I'm glad that you're in my life and I'm able to call you family. Since coming back, her one goal was to reunite with Caroline. She fought herself on it for a bit. She had no idea how she was back, or even why. She didn't even know if being back was a permanent thing. Did she really want to give Caroline that false hope? Absolutely not. But there was so many things that Liz wanted to tell Caroline before she passed, she wrote a portion of it in the letter but there was still more to say. There would always be more to say. Though she was a vampire, Liz could see the change. She grew more into herself, chin up, eyes forward instead of downcast, Liz couldn't have been more proud of her daughter than she was now. She stepped forward, instinct had her reaching a hand out but she let it fall between them - "Caroline."

A lot of the time, Lizzie forgot what she was capable of, the power at her fingertips (via a magical source). Hope and Lizzie weren't the best of friends in the beginning, Lizzie thought everything about Hope was grating, she who could do no wrong in Lizzie's fathers' eyes, she who locked herself away in her room like some modern-day princess, she who (supposedly) made fun of her mental illness, to which later, Lizzie found out that Josie actually lied about that. And now the two were thick as thieves, besties, if you will. Lizzie was by no means a totally optimistic person, but she was a bit, and currently her friend was the opposite of that, for good reason, obviously. And after some thinking, Lizzie had a solution. Drawn out of her thoughts, Lizzie spotted Hayley in the bar as she made her way over to her, sitting opposite the totally unfair beauty. "Sorry if you were waiting long, I'm still trying to figure my way around this city." A laugh, "How are things?" She decided to ease her way into it rather than just bombard the woman.

"I got you a slushie." Lizzie walked around the corner, holding both a blue and red one, the blonde held out the red one. "After a little shameless flirting, batting of my eyelashes I was able to convince the bartender to throw a little something special in there for you." The smirk danced on her lips, "Who needs compulsion to get what you want? Though, I mean -- it wouldn't be a bad thing." To say that the thought of becoming a vampire - or in her case, a heretic hasn't crossed her mind would be a lie. There were benefits: she would be eternally young, never age a day, no gray hair, no wrinkles. Then there was the cons: drinking blood? Gross. Being mistaken for eighteen (or however old she was when she turned) when it reality she'd be older? Ugh. What if one day she wanted to start a family? Yikes. Then there was the major benefit. No merge. Her mom could stop pulling her hair out stressing about the merge when she and Josie turned twenty-two. Josie wouldn't have the guilt of killing Lizzie (because let's face it, when it came to the two of them - Josie would win). "Have you ever thought about it?" She asked, hues shifting to Jeremy then as she took a sip of her slushie (with a splash of tequila). "Becoming a vampire?"
