        Buffy knew things were touch and go at the moment with everything going on, but she also knew she’d left Hope with a LOT of questions before. The were talking about fighting, sacrifice, and of course love. She was a teenaged girl, and while she was older than Buffy was when she went through a lot of this, she still had the same questions, some of which only Buffy could answer and the others?

        “If a little tribrid comes your way asking about gloom and doom and all that jazz, don’t get TOO mad at me, okay?” A little mad, sure. A lot mad? She’d rather avoid that.

            “So...what do you think is worse? Sleeping with the love of your life and losing your soul, forcing her to kill you and send you to a Hell dimension to save the world, or sleeping with the love of your life, melting and getting stuck in a Hell dimension inside your dad, only to then get possessed by said dad, making the love of your life have to potentially kill you? Kinda almost feels like an even running, but...”

“HEY  STRANGER,  NICE  OF  YOU  TO  SHOW  UP.“  leave  it  to  angel  to  show  up  out  of  nowhere  and  help  her  when  she  is  in  a  bit  of  a  pickle  (  she  would  probably  start  keeping  count  really  ),  hand  reaches  hand  and  pulls  herself  up,  looking  at  the  body  of  the  unconscious  demon  on  the  ground.  “I’m  a  bit  out  of  shape.  Remind  me  not  to  drink  that  much  juice  before  slayin’.“  and  then,  she  falls  quiet.  As  if  the  realization  that  he  was  there  finally  sinks  in.  And  the  slayer  looks  back  at  him,  big  green  eyes  looking  back  at  his  dark  ones  and  offer  the  tiniest  of  smiles.  “Hi.“

Drusilla liked the table, she liked the feel of the wood beneath her fingers. She had spent so much time staring at the patterns in the wood, tracing them with the tip of her nail. They were like life, wild and erratic at times but staying within the boundaries of the table. 

“Pretty little lines, like on pretty little faces.” She hummed to herself as she titled her head to the side. She saw what others did not see, could not see. The table wouldn’t give her any answers but that was because she didn’t have any questions. 

She could smell him almost before she heard him and Drusilla started singing softly, a tune that did not conform to any recognisable song. She heard them when she was sleeping, when she was supposed to be dreaming. 

“Oooooooh, naughty naughty, Daddy’s come home.” She started laughing, both hands coming to the table, her fingers digging into the wood as she looked up at him. Her sire, her Master, her devil and Her Angel. It didn’t matter that she could smell the humanity radiating from him, it didn’t change who he was deep down inside. She knew his monstrosity better than anyone else did.

“Landon....” Can she really be blamed for worrying about him? She loves him, after all, worrying about him is sort of her thing. And not just him, either. Hope worries about all of them. Lizzie, Josie, Alaric, MG - every single one of them. It’s just in her nature, she supposes. “I’ll always worry about you. It’s kind of impossible not to.”

            Honestly, Hope was upset that she hadn’t figured any of this out sooner, and she shook her head as she looked at him. “You know, sooner or later you’re going to have to let my boyfriend go, right?” she asked him, swallowing. “So how about you and I start right off and you tell me what the Hell you want...”

        Hope wasn’t quite sure what it was that Landon had just said, and she felt a little bad about it, but how could she really pay attention at the moment? He had brought her out for a really nice date and it was going so well until the server had started to hit on her husband. Of course Landon shut it down, but it didn’t stop the scenarios that were swirling through Hope’s mind as she watched the waitress walk away.

“Huh?” she asked him when she heard him address her. “I’m sorry, baby...MURDER was on the brain...what did you just say?”

        Hope couldn’t believe the words that she was hearing coming out of his mouth. He had been around this entire time, and he hadn’t come to her or told her that she was literally in bed with a golem. Obviously they hadn’t done anything, but she was still snuggling up with him at night, mostly thinking she was safe. “You legitimately have just been what? Stalking around the place keeping an eye on me or something?! You let me be with him! Did you for one moment think about how that might make me feel? I would have rather had YOU and worked through all this shit together, than had to be with him the whole time!”
