A New Visitor
Willoughby had settled himself in the garden, sat cross-legged upon the grass, eyes closed in Gaia’s gentle sunshine. Every now and then animal and bird calls, and children’s chatter, were carried around the planet on the breeze; mostly, however, it was quiet aside from the wind playing in the trees. Green energy wrapped around him as he took deep and slow breaths; though they were unnecessary for him really, he still found them comforting, they still helped him to focus and recover...
Calm and content, the dryad let Gaia embrace and cradle him, almost as she had when he had briefly passed to her soil not so long ago.
It was... warm.
