Did you guys ever wonder why Diane's Muses Gallery is full of tree paintings in Deadly Premonition? I mean it's so strange... why have a gallery full of tree paintings in a town already chock full of trees? Why would anyone go to a gallery of trees when you could just step outside and come face to face with the real deal?
I often pondered this during my first play through of the game and discovered like many of the game's cool details it’s possible to learn the reasoning behind the Muses Gallery subject matter during one of Diane's optional conversations.
If you speak to Diane on a while she's drinking with Nick in the Galaxy of Terror after midnight during Chapter 09 she will reveal that the gallery is full of tree paintings to fulfill her childhood dream of living in the forest:
I think it’s a little funny that York was able to get this out of her when she was a bit tipsy lol :)
I got to say learning of Diane’s reasoning made the Gallery and its contents a bit less silly and more heartwarming. What do you guys think?
Saw something new in Deadly Premonition while researching for my upcoming CH 11 video. Nick “who treats his wife like shit” Cormack visits Diane after hours at the Muses Gallery to talk about “art” while leaving his wife scared and alone at home with a murderer on the loose.
One of three videos where I point out Easter Eggs and other cool details from Deadly Premonition. I hope to make more of these in the future once my Let’s Play is completed. :)
