Templar Stage Combat Sword
We've been asked for years for a good set of historically researched swords to perform with on stage. We wanted both authenticity and durability; the kind of sword you can bang edge to edge to complete your performance with confidence and look good doing it. Popular in Europe, our Windlass Stage Combat swords and rapiers have the thick edges and rolled tips needed for live steel action. The Templar can be used as a one-handed or hand-and-a-half sword. Constructed with a strong, full tang with peened construction using solid steel parts, a leather wrapped wood grip for a strong hold and high carbon steel blade providing years of rugged use. A leather scabbard with metal accents is included. Don't just act, perform!
This venomous dragon sculpture has blue LED lights in the eyes, mouth and under the neck to make this piece more menacing. On/off button in the back. Buy Now.
3D Printing Historical Artifacts: Nils Anderssen Created a Perfect Replica of a 6th Century Sword
Looking at artifacts from the past often leaves us speechless about the skills and knowledge of craftsmen from earlier times. The early 6th century sword from Snartemo (Norway) is exactly one of these objects. So, if you are asked to recreate one today, how would you do that? Especially if you are not a professional goldsmith but a game developer?
Meet Nils Anderssen, a teacher and game developer with an interest in recreating historical artifacts in his spare time. A couple of years ago he started experimenting with 3D printing and quickly saw the potential to use this experience to make accurate reproductions of historical artifacts.
He uploaded his work on his website nilscraft.no, which caught the attention of the National Museum of Art in Norway. The museum approached Nils a couple of months ago and asked him to create a replica of the sword from Snartemo under the condition that it should look and feel exactly like the original. Museum visitors will thus be able to touch a 3D print of a historical artifact and feel its real weight.
As Nils put it in his own words, “In contrast to the digital work on screens, this is something you can pick up, look at and use. This is something I find very rewarding.“

Does anyone know anything about these collectibles? Ordinarily I keep my random bits of memorabilia, but most of them aren't worth much. But my only two Myst series pieces are pretty rare, at least the dagger is. It's a Museum Replicas Moiety dagger, from the catalog that was included with Riven. I've had it for so long it's no longer the bizarre bright copper color it originally was, and now looks a lot more like the ones in the game. XD I don't have the certificate of authenticity anymore, but otherwise it's in good shape. From Myst to Riven: The Creations and Inspirations is First Edition, and has been read and displayed so it has some minor wear and some little spots on the cover, but not too bad. I'll have to look through it again to see if there are any torn pages, but I was always careful with it so I doubt that there are. They were both bought new, and have only been in my smoke free but cat-friendly home.
Like I said, I usually hang on to these things, but times are tough, especially since some unexpected things have come up recently. And since I have such trouble pricing my artwork properly, I could use a boost. I would only consider selling these if the price was good though (especially the dagger). I haven't been able to find anything at all about the value of Museum Replicas Moitey daggers, and only one FE book on eBay (and it was a different version, it had a different cover image) so I have no idea what they're worth.
If anyone knows anything, or would even like to make an offer, let me know. :)
