Hey Tumblr...

Help me out? Has this been transcribed anywhere? I did a few searches and didn't find anything yet. If you know of a forum where they may have already discussed this, please point me to it.

Ok so this is a screen shot from the movie "Hoppers" which is a Pixar film so I am assuming that this was very deliberately done.

This is clearly music, right?

I haven't even started trying to work out what this might be. Something from Disney? Or Pixar? Or even Hitchcock's "The Birds".

It's only briefly on screen but it felt kind of obvious that it was musical notation. Then again, maybe I'm seeing things. Looking for easter eggs where there are none.

Let me know what you thinks please.

song i'm currently working on! been sick recently and lost my voice, so i spent three days producing the instrumentals for this track.

i've also been sprucing up my social media profiles with new bios/descriptions/banner art, and have also spent the past three days updating my old album art.

for the past 4 years i've just been using old art i had lying around as placeholders for my cover art, but now i am working on giving each song a unique cover!

on top of this, i've taken the time to update the titles of some of my earlier work to better reflect my current identity as an artist.

i will be posting some of my favorite cover arts on here when i get the chance, but so far i've already completed about 20.

once i'm feeling better and get my voice back i'll be posting a new version of this song with vocals!

The World’s Oldest Complete Song Still Playable Today. 🎼

The Seikilos Epitaph (1st–2nd c. CE), carved on a tombstone in Aydın, Turkey, is the earliest surviving music with both lyrics and notation.

Its timeless message:

“While you live, shine… life is short.”

The oldest complete song in history still echoes today.

The Seikilos epitaph is an Ancient Greek inscription that preserves the oldest surviving complete musical composition, including musical notation.

Commonly dated between the 1st and 2nd century AD, the inscription was found engraved on a pillar (stele) from the ancient Greek town of Tralles (modern Aydın in present-day Turkey) in 1883.
