Hi, sorry to make yet another OOC post but this is extremely important to me. Over the last 48ish hours, since I refused to answer the anthrax ask, my ask box has been flooded with violent asks, towards mostly Molly and Jasper. Theres been a lot of it, and it's making me extremely uncomfortable, and some of it is kind of triggering. I'm very close to turning off Anon, which i don't want to do since its how most of the good asks are sent in. But I do not want ANYMORE violent asks for now. Please.
I've had Jasper's room bombed, Molly's throat has been slit. Its nuts. And I am NOT okay with it. I'm going back to my old rules.

During my daily daydreaming about the X-Men, I invented a mutant power: remote movement, I simulate an action and the object I'm focused on "acts" as if I were touching it. For example, if I simulate holding and writing with a blackboard chalk, the chalk will write what I want.
Can you imagine using this kind of power during a dark and stormy night or Halloween at the X-Mansion, maybe with the help of Kurt for moving from one room to another? A true haunted mansion orchestrated by two pranksters.
Or using it to touch the blue elf's arm/back/cheek from the other side of the room.
words can't even begin to describe how much i love this man. he has done and continues to do so much for me, i am forever thankful that this wonderful person is in my life. i love the fact that i have him as a friend and family. they say, "never meet your heroes" and while that may be true for some, i wouldn't trade austin for anything in the world 💕
*A box is left in the students inbox. When its open, it is a bomb*

It had just been Molly when it happened, and as curious as she is, she hadn't hesitated to open the box and see what goodies Jasper had ordered this time. She has only a few seconds.
The bomb explodes, igniting her skin. Searing her mistake into her bones, as her beloved meeting room is taken victim with her. The girl throws herself over the box, ensuring that the blast will go no further than her and her precious room. Her flesh sizzles, as it sews itself back together, her already weak body dealing with weeks of strain from the overuse of her powers, and the stress. She collapses back onto the ground, blood coating her skin from the shrapnel that had pierced her body.
It's almost funny to her. How much her wings smell like beef in that moment. Before they right themselves. Skin already beggining to leave behind its ruin, eyes blurry as they adjust to the smoke. Her ears ring, as the door is forced open, and professors whose names she can't quite place, and whose faces simply remind her of the one person she needs but is not here with her.
Since school is out for the summer, and many of you have a lot more freetime, I thought that I'd compile as many Mutant owned businesses as possibile.
To be on this list the buisness has to be owned by a Mutant, Mutant friendly businesses are great, but this is specifically about Mutant owned
Fashion and accessories:
X-essorize - A store featuring jewellery made by, inspired by, and for mutants. You'll find things like wing jewellery, alternative Limb accessories, hats made for horns or non-traditonal ears and heads, scarfs themed around mutations.
My favourite item: They have this SUPER CUTE necklace that's inspired by Adaptation. It's like a series of glass beads filled with water, that change colour and shape when exposed to different temps and lights. I wear it all the time!
Evolution - Clothing store. Each of their pieces is hand stitched by their owner and her sisters. They're spider mutants and they're soo cool! They make custom outfits at afordable prices. You'll find extra limb safe clothes, clothes that allow for modesty for winged mutants who don't want to show their whole backs, cute as fuck [ Sorry Dad] backless options for winged mutants. They're notable because their goal is to make clothing that works with a mutation, such as resisting extreme heat. They have a policy to restore or replace clothes destroyed by your mutation at no additional cost
My favourite item: They have this really cute dress, that has an open back for my wings BUT that also has an additional panel to let me cover my back without strangling my wings. It's a deep red, with spider Web patterns and I love it! I wore it when my dad and I went out for dinner, and I got so many compliments!
Quirk & Weird - Toy store. Quirk & Weird are a duo of Mutant siblings who got tired of seeing Flatscan companies profiting off of Weird "mutant" toys. And so, they dedicated themselves to creating a line of plushies inspired by genuine mutant figures in the community. Recently they've begun a new line of plushies based around uncommon mutations. They have both physical and invisible mutations. And it's so awesome. Each piece is made with love, and Quirk & Weird are lovely. You'll usually find one of them at the counter, while the other works in the back. Accessible materials as well, nice and soft.
My favourite item: Torn between the Giant Cylops inspired plushie I got, and my Vympire. Vympire is inspired by un-dead and vampirism mutations. It's dark grey, with bat wings, and Ruby buttons. Mine is named Bram, and I love him.
Mutant owned restaurants
X-Slice - Locally owned chain. There's about 5 locations across NYC. They are a budget pizza joint, owned by a husband and wife duo. They have your typical flavours, but also have this line of less-typical flavours to accommodate mutants who might not enjoy typical fare.
My favourite Item: I'm a basic kinda girl, so their Devils slice is my go to. It's a square slice of pepperoni, spicy salami, jalapeños and hot honey. It's so cute because it has a red crust, and the crust is shaped like little devil horns. Ranza and I share a full devil's pie whenever we go! It's so cool
REM'S - A cafe based around the concept of relaxation. Every aspect of the cafe is meant to calm you down, and give you some time to just be yourself. Soft seats, quiet music, and a scent of lavender fills the main room. They have a few side rooms for private conferences OR for people who struggle with larger crowds. The owner is an empath, who uses his psychology degree in tandem with a culinary fascination to use food and drinks to help relax her customers.
My favourite thing: Lavender & Honey milkshake. It's so sweet, but also just so soothing. I like to get that whenever I come in, but rn they have a limitied edition menu for the summer, and their bacon, egg and cheese sandwich is my EVERYTHING.
Music
Roxanne - really cute record shop. They exclusively stock mutant artists/bands. They also own the venue next door, a small cafe with a live stage where they promote indie bands. They host events for students where we can just come in, get mocktails and snacks and just dance. Lovely and safe enviroment for both the shop and their club
Rox- The club venue for Roxanne's. 10/10. I love it so much.

Kinda agree with anon ngl? You guys really could do a lot for the mutant space by reblogging activism, and I think, that would just be more useful to your time than talking about exploding people, or messing eith your professors.
My sister is a student, and she says she loves the union. But I just, don't see how you guys are helping your fellow mutants by screwing around.

No, you defintley wouldn't.
Why is it, that young mutants are expected to always be in the loop, and 100% aware of the political goings on? This blogs main admin is a 14 year old girl. That 14 year old is also our club president. If Molly wants to post about how much she likes bats, or Ranza wants to talk about frogs, they can.
Not every mutant is an activist.
And yeah, Mutants rights content is super important! So...go support those blogs? Go reblog resources, use YOUR voice. Because, it's flatscans like you, who think you're allies just because you don't want mutants locked up or registered, who are part of the problem.
We reblpg important resources when we find them, we talk about serious issues when we can. But we are a blog dedicated to just. Being a teenaged mutant, at mutant school.
