Hello! On many of your blocking posts I see you have the blocking boards and pins. But I also notice some white pieces sticking up, particularly on the straight edges of your shawls. I'm curious what those are. They help in blocking, I'm sure, but I don't know what they actually do. Thanks!

These are Knit Blockers and they're one of my favorite gadgets for knitting 🙂 basically they're a bunch of pins on one plastic piece so you can pin out a garment more efficiently.

Hey! I just saw your video on the Wooden Tarot deck and your process for getting to know it better. Do you think your process would be similar for Oracle decks? (unless you've already done a video like that) Thank you for sharing the Wooden Tarot!

I think with Oracle I would try to find groupings, and to understand the deck better through those artistic choices by the creator. Deck interview and practice readings would still apply, although I’d place far more emphasis on daily draws for oracle! Way more important to get to know the unique meanings and energies for an oracle deck,

for the orange, it means vibrancy and living life to its fullest. you’re always pushing yourself to experience the things you want to experience. you’re also wicked creative <3

the two-toned yellow means that although you have just discovered a new aspect to your spiritual journey, something is always at the back of you mind, making you scared of the future. money-related, i feel? like you can’t really practise your at bcoz of fund restriction, and you feel like it might hinder the art. idek if this part is that accurate but that’s what i feel.

and the royal blue means you are caring and loving to your people, and are also intuitive.

Sure!  I hope you enjoy your day, too!  Here’s what I see for you:

A postcard sits in a sandbox.  The postcard looks more like an advertisement for a brand than a place.  It has a grey background, and large text in bubblegum pink.  I can’t make out what the text says, but you’re squatting in the sand in bare feet, looking at the postcard.  You don’t want to outwardly react to it, but it’s disturbed you really deeply.  You want to light it on fire.

Hello there! I started studying tarot and spirituality about two months ago and since then Artemis has popped up a lot. I was doing a reading for myself today and there she was! I've had the feeling she's been trying to get my attention for some time so I was wondering if you had any advice on what I can do honor her on a small altar? Preferably some crystals, types of flowers, or incense? As well as any way to possibly get in touch with her, maybe some sort of meditation? Thank you.

I don't know if you sent this a while back and I missed it, or if it just happened to coincide with a message I was just sent on a different blog. If you sent it a while ago I am so sorry I missed it! I never got a notification I had a message.

As for a way to honor her, in my little mini altar (which lives inside of a candle bowl) I have stones, moss, leaves and flowers, a rabbits foot, a piece of antler, an an arrow head. I find She tends to like things that come from nature. I personally associate moonstone with her, but things like quartz, or whichever crystals and stones are abundant in you area are good ideas as well.

If you can dry flowers, that's a lovely thing to do for her. I keep dried roses, and some baby's breath, but any flower you think suits Her or you think She'd like would do. Tree branches like pine, fallen leaves, or even pinecones are also good. She has a lot of ties to the forests, so use your imagination.

As for incense, I find warmer, woodier scents to be appropriate. I've offered dragonsblood, patchouli, and vanilla with good results, but I also don't have a large variety/fancy selection of incense to start with. Overall it's more the intent and the effort that count.

I'm not the best person to ask about getting in touch with the Gods, but if you've been studying Tarot that is a good start. There are spreads that are specifically tailored to talking with the Gods. Personally, I do a meditation sort of thing that puts me in this clearing in a forest. It relies heavily on circles, a round fire, a circle of stone, rings of trees, and I break through deeper until I reach said fire, where She sits.

I'm a beginner at learning tarot (loving it, btw) and was looking at the many spreads I have in my computer for one that deals with careers/jobs, and it turns out I don't know any. Do you have a spread that you like or would recommend? Thank you!

In general, my first instinct would be to think of all the questions I have about my career/job. This way it's tailored just to me, and I can ask all the important questions I've been wanting to know answers to. Then I'd think of a the way I want to lay it out, based on the questions relations to each other. Financial issues I'd want to put further away from creative choices, for instance, because while they do have something to do with each other... I don't want one influencing the other. But you may want want them to influence each other... see how it might be more effective to craft your own!

Now, all that being said... I'd be happy to help you craft one, if you have more specifics about what kinds of questions you have. Is it worries about your career, feeling lost in your job, what kind of job would better suit you? Let me know! :)
