hi! as a psa for all the people who asked me for mutantau updates and things, i’ve officially made mutantau more ~official~ than just the little bits and pieces i post on tumblr by putting it on my ao3. you can check it out here:
http://archiveofourown.org/works/10566894
hopefully by doing so, i will be more motivated to update and stuff haha and you will have a place to yell at me for updates.
*bubbles are air bubbles from too much movement
From this AU
This is specifically referencing this post.
He regret ;(
What is this?? cliCK ME
Yo am I talking too much about my Mutant!AU? Cuz I don’t think so.
Hiro isn’t actually a mutant. The accurate term for him would be genetically modified lab rat :)
Tadashi is a mutant.
(In a previous post I mentioned that Hiro joins a villain faction after he is captured by SHIELD, so yes this is confirmed) He leaves the villain faction when they cross even his dubious morals (you don’t hurt children).
Hiro joined in the first place because he recognized that he would be safer in groups.
He’s less driven by revenge than I originally wrote him to be
Hiro forgives Tadashi early on in his SHIELD sentence, but refuses to acknowledge him.
Hiro is scary scary smart a decade into this AU (older Hiro created a means of suppressing the x-gene indefinitely while trying to find a cure for his own condition).
I mentioned originally that Hiro was injected with a parasite so, yes, he can technically be classified as a parasite. He has the ability to convert any liquid into the constitution of his own body (which has him cutting off body parts more often than not).
As a parasite, Hiro’s top priority is survival. Due to this, he unconsciously chooses the path of least resistance 8/10 times.
His original coloring (blue) changes multiple times as he continues to experiment with his body to either make it more durable or to try and reverse the effect all together. He fluctuates between purple and straight up blue.
So basically, I suck at hands and digital art...so if you think my artistic abilities suck...then you’re right. This is the debut of my new characters, The guy with his man boobs all out in the open is names Tavares Wilson, and the little one is his dad, Teodoro “Theo” Ramirez (ha he’s short). Tav, that’s his nickname, has two dads just because on my page I want everything to be gay. Ig I’ll go more in depth with these two when the time is right,
Mutant!AU Headcanons
Hiro despises remembering things about his past, finds it too painful to think about what he’s lost. Ignores his intellect to a devastating degree (aka, it hampers a lot of his plans)
Doesn’t have a ‘superhero’ name because he’s hated every suggestion thrown at him, which leads to the next point:
He’s not made of water (so NO AQUALAD OR AQUABOY OR WHATEVER). He’s made from a liquid with a high boiling point. Viscosity is voluntarily changeable and motions are fluid.
Hiro is flexible. Really flexible.
Hiro is very set in the belief that his brother is dead and that Tadashi/Sunfire can no longer be considered a relative.
Hiro and Tadashi (I will be calling him Tadashi at this point) are, in fact, not related anymore. Their DNA has been mutated to the point in which they have nothing even remotely similar to each other.
At Tadashi’s highest temperature. Hiro can keep contact with him for one minute before reaching boiling point. At his natural body temp, Hiro can keep contact for twenty to thirty minutes.
The serum that was injected into Hiro was not the final product and was far from finished. The team simply had no time to complete it.
Tadashi is the stronger of the two while Hiro is much faster
Hiro has killed more people than Tadashi (a couple dozen) which is why his case was much harder to dismiss in comparison.
Hiro feels guilty about it only to a certain extent
There is hope for reconciliation between Tadashi and Hiro, but Hiro will never consider him family again.
(( Info ))
Because I’m still on my Mutant!AU binge, here’s some alternative scenarios to after Hiro’s capture (and trust me when I say that he doesn’t stay in place for any of them):
1. He joins some random villain after being broken out of his confinement. He does not in fact succeed in killing Tadashi (and probably never will) and instead joins a villain’s faction indefinitely.
2. He gives up on his dreams of killing Tadashi and instead decides: fuck this, I’m done with all of this bullshit and wizzes his way out of there, finds a way to make himself a device that allows him to look like he did before, and continues life as a normal human being (before realizing that he cannot, in fact, die of normal causes so *cough*).
And ok I may or may not in fact have a small side story (redacted redacted redacted)
