I need to talk about Mutant X for a second but there aren’t enough people in my life this committed to mutants 😂 (I’m so glad Gifted got its moment in the light if only for a moment)

Shalimar is feminine AND powerful and I’m in LOVE with the fact they didn’t require her to be one or the other. OR make her stupid. She was hella quick and not overly sexualized even though sexual prowess was one of her quirks.

Brennan 🤌🏻 chef’s kiss to the whump you gave us sir. Big brown doe eyes AND a punching bag? Yes plz.

Emma was a whiney little bitch but it was consistently on brand. I’m disappointed they didn’t get further into her powers and what she could do “that even her partners didn’t know about”. I’m sure it was on-set drama but I’m not going to ruin my viewing pleasure with reality.

Jesse- what a backstreet boy. He was the naivety we needed to believe in the cause just a little bit longer.

Headcanon is that they were all in a polygamous relationship together because the 90s was sooo gay and honestly how often they kissed was just romantic as hell.

I’m just now on Season 3 and it’s depressing and not enough comic relief so I might just rewatch season 1 and pretend we’re all one big happy family again 😌

Oh god i actually started writing a bit of my Cobra Kai Mutant X AU (this insanity brought to you by that post about mashing up your first and current fandoms and CKHalloween for having an AU prompt for next week). It's actually *scary* how well it works.

Time to see if there's any overlap between the two fandoms. I feel like there should be as they're both overly dramatic shows about teamwork, old rivalries from the 80s and martial arts battles, but the Mutant X fandom has not stood the test of time. I look forward to being proven wrong and/or convincing some people to watch my favourite guilty pleasure show from the 00s.

I’m once again thinking about my Mutant X AU idea where everything’s the same except Emma joins the GSA. But do I:

1) Closely follow the plot of the show and rewatch it over and over to get it right.

2) Follow the plot of the show but just from what I remember.

3) Screw it and just do whatever?
