One thing I recommend for pointless and frustrating arguments about a political or human rights issue (but, arguably this can apply to other topics) is to drop it and do something that helps the issue. You don’t need to solve everything and it’s probably not helpful to keep going in circles with someone who doesn’t want to listen, but I’ve felt better when I do something I wish more people would do.

Someone insisted that saying trans mascs are failures for being masculine and uphold patriarchy and misogyny by transitioning is valid, and after I tried to talk and realized they wouldn’t budge I walked away and reached out to my local trans closet to see what items they need more donations of, and collected supplies that a struggling trans masc friend needed but couldn’t afford. I don’t have a lot of time or money, but I’d rather try to help even a single person than make myself miserable in an argument where no one wins
