Literally nonstop. Jon had such a fondness for Gerry before he even met him simply because of the fact that he helped so many people, even when he didn't want to. Do you ever think about how much that respect for him grew after learning he was putting himself in active danger for it, when he could've easily just ignored it, when he wanted nothing more than to get the hell out, and yet he STILL chose to do the right thing? Do you think that respect only grew after the right thing became so much harder for him? Do you ever think about how they had one conversation and Gerry already considered him his friend? Because Jon was kind to him? Because Jon talked to him like a person? Because Jon joked with him and for a moment it was like having a friend? Do you ever think about how Jon barely knew Gerry and he had so much respect for him. Do you ever think about the fact he cared more about his wishes than his own pain. Do you ever think about the fact that if things had just gone a little better. If Gerry had lived a little longer. They couldve been friends. They could've loved each other, they couldve been close, if things had just gone a little better. And Gerry didn't even die of anything supernatural. He just got unlucky. Fuck, man. "Our Gerard." He didn't even know him! He had just a vague fondness for him, because he did something good even when under the influence of the supernatural. Was it reassuring to know you could still try to be good? You could still help? You could still do the right thing, even if you found it frustrating and it hurt? Man. Man. Lies down forever.
