Substance 2023 - Day 2

The second day of LA-based independent music fest Substance was packed - with sizzling synthesizers, dark danceable beats, and LOTS of goths. Perhaps too many, for the size of the Globe Theater venue. The night sold out and with good reason - electronic powerhouse acts TR/ST, Void Vision, Buzz Kull, Male Tears, and more made for a stacked lineup. While it wasn’t possible to see every artist due to simultaneous set times, there were no bad decisions. Whichever stage one chose to attend was bound to deliver a tasty morsel of the currently thriving darkwave scene.

Local Strict Tempo events incoming (recorded for stream at a later date) - The HALLOWS / Kiss of the Whip tour is starting this Thursday with back-to-back Strict Tempo events in Seattle at The Central Saloon w/ Black Agent and Friday in Tacoma w/ DJ Daemon Chadeau at Airport Tavern (and both with DJ sets from me as well)
