MY FAVORITE VOLTAGE BOYS

just a list of voltage boys i think about a lot, because no one asked.

the boys on the list are in order of least to most favorite, as well as on the image above (left being least favorite, right being most favorite)!

p. s. this post will probably really bad since i’m just rambling, so please excuse the lack of structure.

5. OTA KISAKI

coming in at number five we have, ota kisaki from kissed by the baddest bidder! he is a celebrity artist and high fashion model, and he is know for his... unique way of treating his lover. ota has this master pet kink in which he pretty much takes care of mc as though she’s his dog, even going as far as calling her koro (the name of his real late pet dog). i’ll admit, it kind of weirded me out at first, but i quickly got over it because i just love watching him take care of mc so much. he’s really bratty on the outside, but you can tell that he really really cares for mc and her well being, and he’d literally die for her.

i’ve read most of his stories, my favorite stories of his is probably his engagement cruise story (the season 4 main story) and his missing you sub story! his perfect family sub story and pov’s are really good too! his main stories from season 1 to 3 aren’t that great though, that’s probably why he’s last on this list.

4. SEIICHIROU HAYAMI

next up we have seiichirou hayami from my wedding and 7 rings! he is the stand-in ceo of sanno corporation as well as the director of the marriage program. he’s so curt yet so sweet and his robotic personality always cracks me up! although he comes off as a slightly pretentious at the beginning, once you get to know him better, you realize he’s really caring and he’s always so respectful towards mc, it honestly makes me melt. he’s also a surprisingly greedy lover, which i find adorable because he never really acts on it, so he just pouts in the corner when he gets jealous. oh, and i find his love for tropical fish to be really cute!

my favorite stories of his are his main story and his pov. i find his pov is especially good!

3. HIDEKI ISHIGAMI

next, we have hideki ishigami! more specifically, hideki ishigami from my sweet bodyguard! now, i know he has a route both on my sweet bodyguard and her love in the force, however i like him better in my sweet bodyguard, so i’m going to say that he’s from there. unlike in her love in the force, in my sweet bodyguard, he’s just so awkward. he tries to act all tough and cold, but man is too awkward to function at times, it’s adorable! he tries really hard to hide his affection for mc, but literally everybody and their mom knows that he’s in love her. he’s also surprisingly romantic once you begin dating him, which i really like!

i love his main story (season 1), as well as his main story pov sub story (i believe it’s called psd his pov set). i liked him a lot in the sub story, pajama talk, too!

2. JIN NAMBA

coming in at number two we have jin namba from her love in the force! clearly, i really like older guys, as you can see. he is the chief of the public safety police department and he is the oldest man on this list at 40 years of age. he’s sweet, caring and absolutely hilarious! his self deprecating/old guy humor and dad jokes crack me up every time! he’s also (in my opinion) the hottest man on this list (i mean, look at him). despite his cool exterior, he’s also really mysterious, like i don’t think we’ll ever truly know who jin namba really is.

my favorite stories of his are his main story pov (season 1) and his who i once was sub story! that sub story broke my heart, man, you have no idea.

1. MITSUNARI BABA

my favorite voltage man of all time is... mitsunari baba from kissed by the baddest bidder! this thief, i swear... he’s funny, caring, thoughtful, gentlemanly, generous, considerate and so relatable! he honestly has the best lines of the kissed by the bidder cast, he makes me laugh in every single story he’s in! he’s literally so supportive of mc, he’s so respectful towards her and he’s always and i mean ALWAYS there for her! he constantly makes sure she’s happy and he never hesitates to comes to her rescue when something’s wrong. also i just love how him and mc are like that gross couple you roll your eyes at in public.

what’s my favorite story of his? um, all of them? even the stories aren’t his like threes a crowd and his heart: shuichi. but i really loved him in the sub story the magic spell and his main story pov (season 1), those are the ones i reread the most.

Ah Ha! Who do I hate / dislike most? Does that make it the WORST voltage guy? Hmm?? Most my friends here know I stay away from Eisuke but he’s not the worst, then leaves Hidetaka Sera- yeah the freaking 2 faces makes my eyes roll so damn hard from time to time but like Eisuke, he’s an ass- smart ass.

Oh the dark past and all were’t the turn off, the half ass forced / pushed sex was. Being the typical Voltage’s MC who seemingly gave herself to him “willingly” was very uncomfortable, the whole thing just felt wrong.

He was in bad shape with his guilt after the truth was revealed, it was foolish of him to USE her as revenge to begin with- knowing damn well 1)  she’s innocent 2) Dude has a sister too! Sympathy much?

MC did consent to have sex with him as she had come to “realization” that she’s in love with him and the way to “help” was to sleep with him after he pushed and pinned her to bed , telling her to pay him with his body. [ The whole taking it out on sex ]

Ya, not appealing AT ALL, dude.

Sure he was confused, angry SO? I don’t feel she’s a slut or he’s a dick but I sure as hell do not like either of them. It’s pretty obvious by now that the first impression means a lot, I don’t like overlapping layers and layers of Voltage’s sob history they have written for their canons because they only turn into assholes or lone wolves. I’m sure Kai is a sweetheart behind all those layers but I have lost the interest and patience to go through them.

The constant similar / almost copy and paste content has seriously annoyed me which is also why I have stopped playing their games. As complex as Kai’s character was, Voltage failed to shape him into one like Eisuke whom I may dislike but greatly appreciate his well-written routes. (Though I still yell at him my ipad from time to time) I could not shake the unpleasant feeling I have for Kai and every time I think of him that scene shows up.
