For this week's episode of Morrowind Modding Interviews, we're talking with NullCascade, the project lead on MWSE 2.1 (and the upcoming MWSE 2.2), as well as the author behind a number of amazingly useful little lua mods, like Sophisticated Save System, Easy Escort, Happy Harvesting, Sounds of Souls, and so on and so forth. During the course of this interview, we discuss quite a few things, including features for MWSE 2.2, the new UI elements that will soon be possible, things Greatness7 should be doing, OpenMW compatibility issues, and of course NullCascade's thoughts on the dangers of caffeine. Due to missing a few user-submitted questions, the following interview questions are only answered here: Q: "What's the future of the MW animation system? What new things will lua-mwse allow us to do with it?" A: I can't speak too much of the animation system. A lot of work has been done by Hrnchmand to figure it out, and I plan on continuing his work. But I can't promise anything until after 2.1, or more likely 2.2. Q: "Do you think a skyrim style shared mod configuration menu will be possible?" A: Absolutely. The UI subsystems are well understood. A shared mod config menu is the project that I will create myself to ensure that I have all the features I want in 2.2, just like my Modathon mods helped solidify the feature set for 2.1. You'll find a complete list of NullCascade's mods, as well as other project links, down below: MWSE 2.0 MWSE 2.1 Nightly Build MWSE GitHub Sophisticated Save System Discord Rich Presence for Morrowind Controlled Consumption Happy Harvesting Expeditious Exit Sounds of Souls Permanently Perished Memory Monitor Proportional Progression Dynamic Difficulty Easy Escort Diligent Defenders
My 2nd entry for the May Modathon Month, Light Decay provides a subtle, immersive, and useful visual signal for when a light source in the player's hand is about to run out: the radius of the light will gradually diminish and eventually go out when the light extinguishes. The decay is non-linear so that the radius will remain relatively stable for most of the time; but it will then start to reduce at an increasing rate as the end of the light source's time approaches.

Ever been annoyed that your cozy little Canal South-Two apartment in Vivec couldn't hold more than one suit of iron armor in all the containers combined?
Ever wished you could sort all your ebony armor into one chest?
Then this is the mod for you!
D’sSSS has been updated with MWSE 2.1 to now automatically be compatible with every mod ever made or yet to be made! This mod increases the capacity of every container by a factor of 100x. After playing Oblivion and Skyrim, I became accustomed to not being limited on what I could store in my home. This mod was my answer to that. Now, with MWSE Lua coding, this mod is 100x better.
Plus, I made a snazzy new promo image for it.
