in her own forest seoyoung has little to worry about--at least, that’s what she likes to believe. having spent years in solitude, away from humans and other naturals who didn’t dwell inside the forest, the young faun has admittedly grown a tad bit too comfortable. the world was changing by the day and her innocent world hidden in the dense woods wasn’t gong to save her from unexpected guests, much to her obliviously.

her fingers twirl, creating a rope and tying the bundles of flowers together, it’s a technique she’s learned to perfect over the years when her family left her alone to visit busan. there’s something symbolic behind it all but she’s not quite aware of that, far too calm and in her own world to realize. of course that also includes the footsteps that approach her, falling upon deaf ears until his voices rings in her ears.

with horns and goat legs presented to the world, an unfamiliar voice causes her heart to leap from her chest and into her throat. surprise is evident in dark hues, hands freezing immediately as she turns her head to look over to a complete stranger. she doesn’t know whether or not his words are laced with sarcasm or not, hesitating with her answer, “they don’t.. come out this far, s-so..” evidently she doesn’t know.

jimin is grumpy, hell yes. he’s faking genuine anger, yes. he bumps his shoulder against taehyung’s when they sit down in the restaurant, opting to sit next to him instead of across the way. it was one of those chair-booth hybrids, and the chairs here suck. besides, there’s nothing wrong with sitting next to one of his best friends. take that, evil straights.

he’s been trying to get taehyung to hang out for ages-- he finally had to ask some random familiar he saw on the street to go bother jerry for taehyung’s attention. it turned out, his best friend had been holed up in the library at the college he attended for the last two weeks. and let his phone die.

so. it was up to jimin to drag him out of there and embrace sunshine again, of course.

black suit, black collared shirt, black tie. jeongguk figures he could have been the stereotypical prince if he had just added a crown atop his head, or maybe basically every disney villain ever, but the black feathers he had painstakingly arranged into the chest pocket of his suit got the bird concept across fairly well. maybe the story of the twelve princes who were turned into ravens wasn’t the most popular, but it was hard for an eighteen year old kid with a budget to put together some elaborate costume for a knight in shining armor or something. he was lucky he even had a suit that fit; a fairly recent purchase since the old one he had for special events had grown too tight in the shoulders and too short in his arms and legs.

he was sure he was going to regret coming to the event, never a fan of big crowds or noisy areas or anything like that, but already was the boy gazing around with a dropped jaw at the expanse of the hall. the gleaming gold, the pearly white, all the sophisticated glitz and glam of the venue making his eyes wide behind the mask he had been given as he came in. it was beautiful, to say the least, and the boy couldn’t help but get lost in his admiration.

the mask itched at the bridge of his nose and jeongguk regretted taking a feathered one to match with his supposed bird costume. he wet his lips, a quick flash of the tongue, as he drank in his surroundings. there were still a lot of people, still a larger crowd than jeongguk would normally be comfortable with, but he doesn’t feel pressed close and claustrophobic as he usually does. the hall is big enough that he doesn’t feel trapped, and maybe that’s why he’s comfortable with being lost in admiration of the decor until he bumps into another body.

what is with these foods anyway. byul was so sure there was some sort of magic with these. she wasn’t even a fan food yet she finds herself drooling over them. they were enticing-- too hard to resist. she sighed in defeat, taking a few steps forward. her attention was fully given to the feast infront of her. she honestly couldn’t take her eyes off them. she finally took a piece bread, placing them fully on her mouth. she chewed them slowly, wanting to savor the taste. that’s when she realized what the stranger had said earlier.

for a moment there, she honestly forgot about that-- and so, given the fact that she already gave in to temptation-- she obviously had no choice. she tried to look on her side to see if anyone was near her. there was a boy, his back facing her and so, she tried to catch his attention, wanting to ask him if there’s anything he wanted. she tapped the latter’s shoulder from the back. “excuse me-- do you--” her words were cut off as soon as she finally take a good look at him. after a few seconds of shameless staring, she finally recognizes him. “it’s you.”

Exhausted, Woohyun’s shift finally ended at the cafe. “They had to put me on shift during the rush hours,” he grumbled, fingers carding through his hair effortlessly as he sighed for the millionth time. All the male wanted now was to just flop onto his bed and sleep the rest of the day away. Although he should be out hunting again, his skills have been getting rusty since the last time he went out. That or he could be gaining more money from gigs in the evening to help fund his living expenses.

Instead, the drained male dragged his feet towards the direction of his quaint apartment, hoping to rest up and mentally prepare himself for another exhausting morning shift the next day. As his mind started to drift from topic to topic, nothing in particular, he found himself in the opposite direction of his way home.

“First work, now this,” he sighed, too tired to bother complaining about his current situation as he pivoted on his heel to finally get home. As he was about to take his first step, his eyes locked onto a small creature staring up at him. Quirking his eyebrow in confusion, he knelt down to examine the small mouse.

“What was a little thing like you doing out here?” He questioned, hands swooping down to gently cup the mouse and bringing the animal to eye level with him. Normally he’d never be caught doing something like this, however, he felt like passing out and the small mouse seemed harmless enough. Just as he was about to ask another question, knowing he’d never get a reply, the sounds of feet scurrying towards him halted his words as his eyes darted upwards to see who could possibly be rushing in his direction.

it was a cold, wintry evening when byul decided to take a stroll around the streets of busan, both hands slipped inside her hoodie’s pockets, her gaze fixated on her front. her pace was rather slow, relaxed-- wanting to enjoy the cold wind that the weather has to offer. she was having a good time really, enjoying the perfect weather-- until something odd happened after she walked past a bench. she finds herself soaking wet with water that seemed to came out of nowhere, her walking came into a halt. it took her a few seconds to realized what just happened-- she was soaking wet, her clothes and everything was wet, even her undergarments. her eyelids shuts momentarily.

her heels spun around, eyes filled with anger as she looked for the culprit. there weren’t anyone else--only a boy sitting on the bench nearby, and so she assumed that he was the culprit. “why you--”
