I want to read more about relationships build on an unshakable foundation of trust and loyalty. I want to see it wholesome. I want to see it codependent. I want them so close there are no boundaries between them, and I want them to trust each other so much they never pry into one anothers secrets, because there is nothing that could be revealed, that would change their regard for one another. I want to see relationships like this that are unshakable and all involved enjoy being in. And I love this concept of absolute or at least strong, shameless devotion towards each other.
This post was brought to you by me chewing on guard dog imagery in relationships
At long last, my original music.
Finished up my first game jam this week, the Creepy Clicker Horror Game Jam! I made the soundtrack for this game, The Ninth Binding! Here's a little video showing a part of each track :] Being creepy into a mic again felt good 🎶👁️
My new headcanon is that Fereldans find the way other Andrastians sing the Chant incredibly funny. Why? Well...
You have parts of the Chant that are serene, solemn, think Catholic or Eastern orthodox hymns. Something like this:
But then you have the more story-heavy canticles. And since Andraste was Fereldan, of course she would base the melody on something she knew - fereldan heroic epics, which would be sung in feast halls with a horn of mead in hand. So some parts of the Chant are more like this:
And the reason Fereldans are bored with the Chant in other countries is that foreigners simply don't Get It with the heroic parts. They sing the whole thing like the Canticle of Trials, which is about as hilarious to Fereldans as to us would be someone singing sea chanties in the style of a gregorian chant.
(both tracks are my own musical interpretation of the text found in the World of Thedas vol. 2 and very much a work in progress)
