It feels like I'm being cut with glass on the inside,

tempting my guts to spill out.

The distance agonizing with my heart outpacing my breath.

It's the piece missing momentarily,

but even for a moment is agony.

It's temporary insanity,

robbing what little is left of me.

Like a drug that imbalanced the chemicals in my brain,

I begin to feel too much.

I need the antidote and you're the cure.

And then you're there. Just the sound of your voice,

the touch of your hands, just the mere presence of you,

to treat my separation anxiety.
