cherries (part one of two)
mama there’s a blonde man behind you
I just still really love this interaction after Yor acknowledges her feelings for Loid. Yor's gentleness as she tries to explain to Anya... in a moment that's climactic in relation to Yor and Loid's relationship, Endo manages to also show us Yor's strengths as a mother and how her and Anya's relationship has grown as well.
I couldn't forget these two 😌
They also wanted to join 💃
Movie version 💫
motherhood should be exciting.
that’s what everyone says, the small cute baby clothes, the pretty bassinets, the joy of watching them grow. Watching the way they copy certain mannerisms from you or your husband, Its all supposed to be really exciting!
You keep trying to tell yourself that but it scares you, more than the birth itself. This whole pregnancy Sukuna noticed you seem uninterested in it all. From picking out the clothes down to picking the color for her room. Of course when asked, you’d smile and tell him you were just tired and that you are excited, but he knew.
The constant thought of having this baby and not loving her or even wanting to in the future clouded your mind. You agreed to this, you wanted this too, but why was it so hard.
“Baby, watch your step.” Sukuna’s hand hovers your back, just in case you stumbled backwards. The hospital bag slung over his shoulder while he helps you down the steps.
“I’m fine.” you spat, taking shallow breaths, waddling towards the car. Sukuna sighs, helping you into the passenger seat, rushing over to the other side.
You stared outside the window, watching the trees flash by, suddenly feeling nervous, your hand bunched up in the fabric over your sweats. Sukuna catches you in the corner of his eye, silently reaching over and putting his hand on your thigh.
His thumb smoothing over reassuringly. He didn’t need to say much, just needed to be there for you.
The hospital was a blur, from the car all the way up to the emergency room, Sukuna held your hand the entire, telling you how good you were doing and how it was gonna be okay.
Despite how you were feeling he couldn’t help but be excited, it was fun to watch your belly grow.
Oh and the first kicks? That was one of the times he saw you genuinely smiling, you had sat there and caressed your belly gently, talking to it quietly, and he just got lost in the sight. Smothering you right after, leading the room to be filled with the sound of your giggles.
Now he watches the discomfort on your face as you push, and push, trying to get this baby out. But something seemed off with you, and then he started to get nervous. It was a lot of blood, more than usual said the doctor.
Then as he was watching you intensely, small cries started to flood his ears, his head whipped towards the sound. His eyes widening at the sight of her.
“Oh, there she is!” the doctor yelled out, “Here, dad want to cut the umbilical cord?” the nurse asked him excitedly.
Sukuna had to wipe the tears from his face before nodding, leaning in to do so, the room congratulates him. Only then did he look back at you the biggest smile etched on his face, “Look, baby!”
The last thing you heard was the doctor’s call for the last push before everything faded out. Everything felt so uncomfortable and tiring. You dreaded waking up, not wanting to deal with anything that came after it.
You groan softly, stirring slowly. The smells of the room bringing your senses back. The feeling of someone smoothing your hair back and pressing soft, lingering kisses to your forehead more familiar than anything in the world. The corners of your mouth curve up, eyes fluttering open slowly.
“You okay?” his comes out rough and raw, you look at him, reaching up to smooth your thumb under his tear stained red eyes, “I’m okay.”
He leans into your touch, a sigh of relief leaving him. He can finally relax, the longest 2 hours of his life, even if they told him you were okay. After relishing in your touch a little more he gets up. You watch him walk around your bed to the bassinet next to you.
Your body stiffens immediately when he picks her up, stomach folding uncomfortably the closer he got with her, and he doesn’t hand her to you, just leans a bit to show you.
You’re immediately met with a full head of dark hair, big round crimson red eyes, a small mole underneath her eye, beautiful tanned skin, and the most adorable nose ever.
“Oh.” was all you could choke out, your vision blurring, Sukuna leans down, and you open your arms to her. He places her there, adjusting her little blanket underneath her chin, sitting back in his chair.
The tears just flow, “I’m so sorry.”
“Ugh.” you sniffle, you hadn’t cried that much in freaking forever, your eyes looked like pufferfish. It’s a little later now and you guys are staying the night, going home the next morning.
Sukuna laid on the couch, sleeping peacefully after being stressed out today, and knowing his girls were safe and sound. A blanket draped over him, his arms folded across his chest. He grumbles in his sleep, to which you just giggle at.
Looking down at her, you couldn’t get over it, only thing she got from his was his eye color, but you couldn’t be too salty, she looked perfect with.
“My cute little baby.” you leaned down, gently rubbing your nose against hers, pecking small kisses on her cheek, “I’ll never doubt my love for you again.”
Its sooooo cutie to me that because Daniel is Armands first fledgling he actually has no idea what's going on either.
