I'm still stunned that there are people who don't believe in evolution...

I don’t like it here

and I don’t know how to tell my dad that

I don’t know how to tell him that I’d rather just forget that this exists. That I literally crafted a new identity for myself and literally everything here, from the books to the place where I sit to the routines I fall into are things that I’ve been trying to leave behind

I don’t want to spend entire days locked in my room

but I want to be in the living room with my dad and step-mom even less

And I’m afraid I’m going to slip into some really nasty habits, habits that maybe I’ll start to recognize as symptoms of depression (?) and I’m just going waste these next three months.  I have to be productive this summer. I have to write and read and get things done. Maybe then all of this will be worth it.

Just pulled two teeth. Am on heavy painkillers. They are not doing anything other than making me high. It's now past midnight, and I'm sitting by our piano playing "Give me novacaine". I think my dad would very much like to kill me.

But right now my parents are convinced my brother just sort of watched 'The Dark Knight' on some site online (he downloaded it) so now they're telling me if I can't find something on Netflix, I have to go rent it. Says the woman who watched 'Planet of the Dead' online and not on Netflix just last week.
