ANYWAY. Headcanons! With Crepic!!! :D

My masterlist I made as a general reference for my interpretation of Epic includes some headcanons there with Cross ^v^ And the core of their relationship is deep and devoted, and that can be interpreted however someone likes. I think of them as besties and lovers, but you can take it as you will :D

Epic to me is demisexual, and Cross is canonically bisexual. Epic loves crude humor but actually wasn't interested in any "after dark" activities until after he feels a deep connection with someone/feels understood/connected with them. Depending on the AU, Epic almost always has a crisis when he realizes he's caught feelings, especially if it's for his best friend.

Epic may or may not have a type for bikers LOL. But in seriousness, I think he thinks motorcycling is cool. Is too intimidated to drive himself, but is always down to ride as a passenger. He holds Cross while Cross drives them both to a place to picnic and stargaze together

Cross secretly loves poetry, but is terrible at writing it xD Epic still loves it and is sufficiently wooed regardless, haha. Epic is the only person besides a select few -- Percival (Xtale Papyrus), Xtale Frisk, Xtale Chara, Ink, and Xtale Alphys -- who know

The Crew would have a pair of silly/fun glasses, and Cross and Epic are pretty on brand with theirs LOL

Pretty much is canon that Cross and Epic have daddy issues. XGaster verbally and sometimes physically abused Cross and Percival, and neglected them a lot in their childhood (see the XTale 21 Years comic). Then, before and during Underverse, XGaster possessed and Overwrote Cross. And I'm sure you're already well-aware of how, since Epic's creation, Gester experimented on and abused Epic. Epic was declared "subhuman" (not sure what the monster equivalent is, but you get my gist) bc of his artificial birth/Soul, weak Stats, and appearance belittled bc of his lack of resemblance to Gester, including his four instead of five phalanges on each hand

Their respective childhoods led to Cross developing BPD - Borderline Personality Disorder (shoutout to @sarcosticsarcomere for coming up with this headcanon and pointing out how well it suits Cross) and Epic developing MDD - Major Depressive Disorder. Epic also developed medical and sexual trauma (that he is unaware of/doesn't know) because of the experiments and how the Followers treated him as an Experiment for both his body and Soul.

Maybe someday, Cross and XGaster can reconcile. This won't ever be possible with Epic, though. XGaster was an abusive and horrible father. But he loved Cross and Percy. Doesn't excuse him, but it does make Cross want to eventually make up with his dad to some extent. Gester never loved Epic. To him, Epic is more of a pet than a person, and Yugo's loathing for Epic is almost always projected onto Gester. Gester hates Epic so much that he, in the No Pain, No Gain comic, essentially suicide baited Epic and even encouraged Epic to off himself because it "made him/the Eye stronger" and was how Epic "proved he was useful/had worth".

Cross was affected by the Anti-Void to some level, whereas Epic's mana itself was metamorphosed by the Void of Epictale.

Cross is jealous of Delta's closeness with Epic -- that Epic and Delta share a language and culture (Tagalog&Filipino) and the special connection that brings that Cross doesn't have as someone from a different ethnicity. If Delta and Epic are romantically involved, Delta would rub it in Cross's face. If Delta and Cross are both romantically involved with Epic, they'd often compete on who's the "best" for Epic. Once Epic finds out he disproves firmly and affirms his care for both are special to him, and the last thing he wants is them hurting each other because of him. Delta and Cross's fights are less contentious after, although they do keep up a sort of playful rivalry.

Absolutely adore @toffeebrews interpretation and headcanons for Epic, including these. I imagine that he and Cross would make Vocaloid music together or do karaoke. Cross and Epic love the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise, with Cross as a shadowkin. So you can bet they're rocking out to Crush40's songs during one of their sleepovers or nights in general where they hangout and party xD

Epic and Cross are cuddle buddies. Cross dislikes being touched/hugged, and often doesn't initiate contact. Unless they're someone he's friends with/enjoys and feels secure in their company, Cross dislikes tactile touch. However, not only does he often initiate physical contact with Epic, but he revels in it. Both touch-starved besties are almost always in close proximity to each other.

There are so many different ways a confession or a Getting Together scene could play out for them. This can be one ^v^

Cross and Epic love reading together, especially in blanket forts.

Epic can recite the entire Bee Movie Script from memory and playfully flirts with Cross "Ya like jazz?" and wiggles his brows to get Cross to laugh. The Bee Movie is one of his favorite memes.

They eat whatever they want when together, and sometimes it's as silly and whimsical as possible.

Epic has sacrificial/martyr and Miriam instincts. Epic instinctively asked to be, and offered himself, to be punished/hurt instead of Packs, his baby brother. Epic raised Packs and kept him shielded from the truth of Gester and away from the Lab the moment that Gester's physical body dusted.

Epic and Cross get up to shenanigans, especially with the rest of the Crew. This would be one hilarious example xD

Epic and Cross are respectively "Violently Repress It!" and "Violently Express It!"

Epic likes a lot of drinks, but his favorite that's quick for him to whip up is an avocado and ube shake, and Cross's favorite drink is chocolate santafereño (hot chocolate served with savory cheese). They'd experiment and make drinks together

Inspired by a convo with @sarcosticsarcomere (hy's so brilliant it's actually incredible) about how, if Epic's ever trapped in the Void WITH HIS PHYSICAL BODY along with his consciousness, then the longer he stays there, the more his body and magic would drastically change. An example would be if Epic ever stayed in the Void long enough, his ecto would become like outerspace -- black, with shimmering shades of violet and fuchsia that constantly change/shift.

With his hood up, Epic’s got a void face that people often give to Dust. Epic’s eyes are visible and both glow, one violet and the other Eye fuchsia, with the darkness of his hood full of shadowy eyes in both colors. Most of his bones have darkened to look to unintentionally parallel Ink, the ecto is a purple galaxy that brightens depending on touch/emotion, permanent full/half void face, fangs, and eyes. The more affection Epic feels for someone, the more colors that bloom Epic's ecto. When he looks at Cross, Epic lights up -- like how nebulae paint space.

Both Epic and Cross would permanently live in the Omea Timeline. Epic would choose to take up jobs/hobbies there, and Cross, with Epic's encouragement, would pursue a job at Ccino's cafe. The cat versions of Crepic would hang around Cross, and Epic if he's there. Depending on whether or not Cross and Epic are romantically involved, their reactions to seeing the cats flirt with and love each other would be so cute and funny xD

Cross got bi panic the first time he saw Epic's drag sona, Esmeralda Kookie. Even before they're married, Cross and Epic would say Epic's Cross's husband or wife, if Epic is Esmeralda. Whenever Epic is wearing lipstick, he loves to kiss Cross and mark him up. Cross melts everytime ^v^

Epic has a naturally smooth, deep voice. I headcanon him to sound like Charlie Wes (Teddy from Date Everything) or Dave Fennoy (Lee from The Walking Dead games). Since he was young, Epic got vocal training from Mettaton and the Ghost Fam so he learned how to effortlessly pitch his voice and develop range. As Esmeralda or whenever he wants, really, his voice can go from low and deep to soft and lilted. I adore the idea that he'd sound like Ella Fitzgerald or Lupita Nyong'o. Maybe both.

Epic loves kids and wants to have them one day. If he ever does end up carrying/pregnant and birthing his kid(s), he'll get moderate to severe PPD -- Postpartum Depression. Bc of his history with MDD, He's pretty much guaranteed to get PPD (T~T)

If Epic were human, I think he'd be dark-skinned blasian -- a black Filipino. I think he'd prefer locs, and taught Packs how to twist and maintain his hair. He's very good about maintaining his hair, and teaches Cross how to style out his longer hair

Human Cross would be light beige, white-passing. Much like their skeletal selves, Epic is a little, almost unnoticeable bit, taller than Cross, with a robust and voluptuous figure while Cross is also robust and muscular bc of his heavy duty workout regimen.

-- Cross has wavy to curly (3B maybe) hair texture while Epic's is 4C. (Cross had kept his hair short bc the Royal Guard is the equivalent of specialized military). Cross would start wearing bonnets at night/to sleep because of Epic. Once he learns haircare he still asks Epic to do his hair or moisturize it bc he likes Epic caring for him, and feeling Epic's hands run through his hair. He won't admit it out loud tho (even tho he knows Epic has a feeling Cross does xD)

Epic writes and then sends crack fics so outrageous and bad that they become good and funny to people like XGaster and Nightmare as his unique form of hate mail xD He has Cross proofread/beta read, especially the ones to XGaster, and Cross laughs so hard he cries Cross: HAHAHA WTF DUDE?! YOU'RE SICK/pos Epic: Aw ty bruh 🥰 Now come on lets send the Nosferatu x XGaster SirenAU Fic over I wanna record your old man's face as he dies inside --

Crepic nurture and love their inner child bc they never got that kind of whimsy and care when they were kids, especially Epic. This leads to them having sweet moments, and ridiculous flirting.

Cue Vidal, TK, Paperjam, Gradient, Palette, etc, hanging out with him and sometimes Cross while the parents go on date night 😄 -Cross stops by to hangout and he interrupts the ‘battle’ with the kids so someone gets a lucky shot at him, and he dramatically enacts his ‘death’ xD -Epic: ACK! KILLED! Betrayaaal! plops over, gurgling Kidz…never forget…wheeze…da most important thing in life….sadly chews is cookies….. -Epic is Vidal’s fashion inspo and Epic offers advice to the teen about different clothes, like what boots are best depending on the environment or if V really likes one outfit accessory Epic either gifts it to him or tells him where to get it/how to make it -Epic teaching them his favorite and easy recipes like chocolate molten lava cake and flan -When the kids are young, they’d do story time! Could be any books so long as they were age-appropriate, so some manga were included xD -They’d do crafts and dress-up activities for whatever movie or show they watch. Like if they watched The Last Unicorn, Epic is supervising and making sure they’re okay while he helps them craft Unicorn outfits and onesies

Cross doesn't really like kids -- he doesn't hate them, but he does think they're often loud and annoying, and has canonically bullied both Goth and Palette. If Epic saw he would shut that down and Cross would be stunned to see Epic get genuinely mad at him. Once he has kids of his own, though, Cross softens up and adores his baby/babies with all his Soul. Epic is one of the few people who would make Cross want to have kids.

Babybones Crepic: Girl Dads 🥹 -Cross would absolutely be the overprotective dad that would babyproof everything in the house while Epic would be bringing them on joyrides in his DIY Batmobile -Epic: Wanna go for a ride kiddo? Never to early to learn anything in my opinion! Baby gurgles, babbling as she baps the wheel That’s right babygirl. honk honk goes the wheel! -Their baby having powers and giving them both anneyurisms 🤣🤣 they gonna be the cutest little menace, running around with powers that can absolutely kill you 😂 like a tiny Nezuko 🥰🥰 -The dorks would dress her up in baby onesie versions of their favorite anime/cartoon characters -So yes Nezuko is def on there :D And then baby Sonic, Sailor Moon, aaaawww itty bitty baby in a Hatsune Miku onesie with the hood 🥺 -omg you know what, Epic would scour the internet for a tiny godzilla onesie for her and video her toddling around and destroying a fake city made of blocks 😭 He makes a bunch of gingerbread/cookie men and she devours them. It’s a massacre 😔🤣 -AHA found it: Like, Cross is meh on kids and has the ‘they’re all little gremlins’ mentality (he’s got beef with Goth just because he drank his chocolate milk like sir that is a CHOILD 😭) but if he had kids of his own he’d adore them and be a wonderful dad, like with his blaster 🥹 His mentality strikes me as “all kids are okay or awful except mine. They can do no wrong look at mah awesome bebes >:D” He’s a proud dad, and I love that for him -And then Epic just adores kids and is so good with them!!! He plays with TK and Goth and even did a ‘Cops and Robbers’ game with them. He understands that anyone can hurt and do bad but children are learning and that they will grow and change if given the chance. Also just the thought of Epic as a girl dad where he dresses up in a dress and makeup for their tea party and she says “No dad we’re getting ice cream” he rips it off and has a matching outfit with skirt and boots underneath xD Gotta be as dramatic as ever

Crepic would teach their kids self-defense. Cross teaching how to defend, but in a lighthearted, play-pretend manner when still young. like giving them a foam version of his cloud buster sword while he fends them off with foam dual-swords 😂 and ofc he'd go easy on them and teach them all his weak spots so they'd always win 🥺They’d be so well defended, learning Royal Guard training from Cross and martial arts (jutsu, karate, boxing) from Epic

PTA Epic -it's just like PTA Sans, the only difference is that he actually makes his own cookies 😂

They nuzzle each other and drift back to sleep -Cross would sometimes complain in his sleep about something stupid like hot sauce on his taco. -Epic would just chuckle, saying smth silly like how dare the hot sauce hurt his boyfriend. He’ll fight it🤜 and Cross just says no don’t go fight it, he wants his cuddles. Epic: okay okay. Just cuddles. Fight tomorrow. Cross: Yep. Tomorrow fight hot sauce. And get more tacos. Epic: Okie. -The few times Epic is silenced is when he hears Cross’s voice. Especially when he sings. Cross is always complimenting Epic on the song-like quality of his deep bass, but it’s like a hymn of angels everytime Epic hears Cross’s sweet voice sing. Speaking in his native tongue sending his Soul and heart aflutter -the both of them would be that one couple that NAILS the karaoke performance and the fact that they're so mushy with it too is almost a bit annoying for everyone else lmao
