i’m dyeing several large batches of sheep’s wool in various rainbow colors tonight (or at least, that’s the Plan, I hope I have enough food coloring to pull it off) and i’m slightly nervous, because I really want it to end up looking good.

on the other hand, it was a free fleece i got at my local spinning group, so if i totally botch it, at least it won’t be a *financial* disaster

so it looks like dyeing is going to take a bit longer than i thought it would.... oh well....

oops well, that yellow turned out way too orange and the red is honestly rather pink. i’ll get more food coloring and turn the “yellow” into an orange and see if i can get the red to go darker tomorrow or over the weekend
