1. Study place:
Don’t feel stupid, because your desk is a mess sometimes. We all know that if it wouldn’t be that way you couldn’t find anything. What you don’t see never existed.
Know where the stuff is you need.
2. Notes:
Colour coding. I think this is pretty self-explaining.
Write in a big font We all see this people, who take beautiful notes and have a really small and beautiful handwriting. The Problem is just that when you make much mistakes and have a small handwriting it is harder to see your mistakes or even just read your own notes.
Visualization People with dyslexia have a strong visual awareness, so we should use this as an advantage. You can drawings/sketches on pages as a visual reminder. They don’t have to be perfect!
3. Studying:
Study standing up I personally just take notes and homework at my desk. I study, standing up, with a with board in my room. I need it to concentrate better and to be more focused.
Flashcards They are perfect, you can study while moving around and they fit perfect into pockets. If you randomly find them you will remember the stuff on it without even reading them again.
Don’t study in complete silence Complete silence is sometimes more distracting than anything else, music really helps to not completely zone out and then wasting 2 hours of your time.
4. Organization:
Post Its Post important dates or information on/near/ over your desk, so you can directly see them and don’t forget. (I personally have all my exam dates on my wall so I always know where I am and what to study or prepare for.)
Have a planner I know it is annoying but write down all your homework and assignments. You can’t just remember all of them. If you do this you at least have a basic plan of your to Do’s. Look at different planner layouts and find the one for you.
Be honest with yourself Think realistic don’t, add too much extra work even it would help your grades try to get it right in the first place, extra work will just put you under more pressure.
I proofread this but if you find a mistake, please let me know. ( i post this again because @riralia was so friendly to tell me that their was something wrong with the picture, I hope it works now.)
