int: charles, you're only four tenths from the pole position but you finish P8, the grid seems to be tight, what issues did you face?
the brakes were a bit better but I didn't find back my confidence. to be completely honest, it was a struggle all session long. we will take a look, unfortunately, it's kind of the story of my life here on this track: it never really works in quali but during the race, my driving style usually works quite well. however, starting p8 makes sunday more difficult. the rain will give us a reset tomorrow but it's not an excuse to not look at what happened today and even yesterday, although yesterday we had real problem with the brakes whereas today the problem was gone. the conditions were normal and it doesn't work. in Q3, I managed by some miracle, to find the right operating window for the tires but before that I- it wasn't working.
int: what is your knowledge about racing in the rain with those cars?
we don't know much, I have quite a good memory regarding the feeling I have in the car and I did a testing day with max in barcelona during the preseason tests but that's only time I drove in the rain so we'll have to take a look at some data that's bit old now and try to adapt for tomorrow.
