I use Tumblr as an outlet mainly for my dark feelings. And so everyone here sees a lot of the bad and not much of the good. I've had a lot of negative feelings about motherhood lately. A lot of them are tied to PPD, coming off my medication to breastfeed (I'm in the process of getting back up to my normal dose), and living in a house with people who hate everything that's important to me and crowd me with near constant disrespect. So, while I do not think motherhood is really for me, and while if I could rewind time I would change my decision to keep my pregnancy in a heartbeat, and while I still wholeheartedly believe that I want a tubal ligation ASAP, none of that detracts from the fact that I love my son fiercely. That has never been on the table for debate. I love him when he's smiling and laughing at neck kisses, I love him when he's trying his damndest to blow raspberries, I love him when he's teething and fussy, I love him when I have to make bottles instead of going to bed, I love him in the middle of the night when I'm dead ass tired and want to stay in bed more than anything in the world but he wants to eat, and I even love him when I have to set him down in his crib and walk away because my patience is shot and I feel like hurting one of us. I always love him, and despite my negative feelings toward motherhood (that have definitely been waning the last few days), I will always love him. He's my baby.
