aaah i love knowing the orginal meaning of the thaursday line🥹 ive always wondered, if his little poem before every trial was translated differently because of wordplay too. i also always think about kirigiri saying he sounds like an aspiring poet lol, i do think they carried over him being super poetic in his thoughts to english though :)

As for Makoto's 'inner poet', I do also think it's translated well into English for the most part. I looked up some of his 'poetic' lines from the top of my head:
