well i asked my film analysis friend to dissect what it meant and she gave me:

"hrm okay so from what i gather there's the immediate light/dark that catches the eye. the maddox we know of course has more of the shadows than the younger maddox, indicating that she's Been Through it. but really it could just mean growth. not the same person she was, not the same person he knew, etc etc. with the light shining on younger maddox though, that's usually indicative of a "chosen one" thing, but that isn't the case here. this is more likely a "bright future ahead" type thing or even an "untainted past" meaning whatever damage is to come, hasn't happened yet. these are Good memories. Untainted memories. it's a dichotomy of the maddox he once knew and the maddox he knows now"

hi—if you watch/listen to TXT (if not pls ignore how embarrassing ☠️🤙) imagine TXT being like disciples to the clubs (you can pick which), looking up to the guys and wanting to be like them. But when TXT went to the same school as the clubs, they spot Y/N and instantly fall in love w/ them, the clubs saw this and told them to back off, which leads TXT to rebel and go against them, making their own Y/N club, the admiration they had for them is gone and now are at “war” w/ them. (tOO LONG 😭👍)
