i relate to your oc that dresses like a girl cuz he thinks girls get more for their looks or something i dont remember but i remember relating a lot to his description LOL

(his clothes are different here then how i normally draw him im trying to find a better outfit for him to wear......for now he has no "default" outfit lol ill just draw him wearing whatever.) Tho its not NECESSARILY that he thinks he'll "GET MORE" from being girly tho, he just relates to girls more than other boys (identity issues gifted from his peers), and thinks that people will overlook his VERY flawed and chaotic personality and like him if he looks pretty and girly enough. (bc he had seen people avoid accountability that way often and also he thinks hisself is ugly) he'd dress that way even without all of the issues tho, the issues just make him fret if his life is built on "living up" to other people or if he's REALLY living for himself like he WANTS to. But it doesn't help that he has a lot of the same tastes as his abusive (ded) mummy. (tho he's more concerned with getting a new lover to love him every day until he weirds them out with his obsessiveness/attachment issues in less than 48 hours <333)

YIPPEEEE BASED but yea his black haired design is still him just like kind of an "AU" sort of deal. (I inserted him into another story/universe lol)

Basically the magical world he's in is like full of "people who died tragically (on earth) but came back to life (not on earth) in their preferred/ideal image with no memories of their old selves". For Avery obviously normal Avery has body dysmorphia and wants to look "delicate and dainty" so like his "ideal form" reflects that. Normal Avery is also insecure of his white hair (and wants to look like his dark-haired mummy bc she hated on him for that) so his hair is dark for that reason Tho bc Avery was made to be "beautiful" (as girly and dainty looking as he desired), he got the attention he wanted- so instead of extremely people-pleasing and insecure, he turned out to be very BRATTY and self-absorbed. (tho its also a defense mechanism bc now he's SO pretty nobody takes him seriously)

It just so happens that the "location" he now lives at is lawless and governless and every sort of supply of anything is limited. so he became slightly cruel in order to protect himself (since his physique obviously cant). Ironically he still has social problems with people, because now people find him annoying for being a leech and extremely inconsiderate and entitled (after he doesnt shut up for a while). though THIS Avery isn't desperate for ANYONE to like him, and he thinks that he has a SOULMATE somewhere who is DESTINED to find him- so it doesn't matter how he is, or how other people think of him, because his soul mate would be able to handle him. (though his "soulmate" he keeps imagining are actually visions of his past life)
