I recently started playing Timberborn…
The game is for PC, and is currently in experimental edition. It’s a great game for those who like to idoly play. The premise is that you are running a village of beavers. Your goal is to survive dry seasons. You don’t know when these season will come until a few days before. Every dry season is longer than the last. I thought I’d post a few or the tricks/tips I’ve found.
You can build over water using platforms.
You have to add paths on top of platforms, they aren’t automatically there.
Beavers can swim, if you put a path under the water.
Irrigation towers are completely worth the price. They’ll keep crops wet through a dry season.
You can prioritize builds, so you can plan ahead on what you want built.
If you select an item and hit ‘delete’ then ‘enter’ it’ll delete the item
You do not get your resources back when you delete things.
Beavers are more likely to make babies with they have recreational place, such as the campfire, and if you lower their working hours
Start growing crops as early as possible.
If your water wheels aren’t turning, either they aren’t in water, or aren’t getting enough flow. You can increase flow by channeling water with dams.
And little, random thing: you can name your beavers.
