As I lean more and more into my own asexuality I'm seeing such a gulf between myself and the people around me.

The more confident I get in my own identity, the more I see the media around me with an ace critical lense. I keep entirely missing ships that are soo popular or just downright disagreeing that they should/will exist.

I'm just satisfied with the platonic relationships, so often there's nothing there at all, like, do they need to date? Is their relationship not enough on it's own without adding sex? Are platonic relationships not interesting enough to you? There's such depth and beauty in platonic relationships that romantic and sexual ones don't have (or don't have in the same way), and it seems the people around me don't think that way.
